I ordered some of Virgin Vapors Cinnamon Red Hots organic E liquid. I'm a little put off by all the drama surrounding this flavor and I don't really know what to make of it all. I understand cinnamon is an irritant and I've taped into the "cinnamon challenge" for information on the effects vaping it may have.

What i got was that it is an irritant, has the potential for lesions in the mouth, possible scaring lung tissue, and it either takes a long time for the lungs to clean or it never will clean. The articles never really expressed a time frame. I'd really like closure on whether or not this causes permanent damage to the lungs by scaring, has residue that the lungs can't break down, if they can break down now long that takes.

I'm fine with pacing myself with it by using it twice a week or twice a month, I'm also fine with just puffing it like a cigar to avoid lung contact, but I'd like to know what I can do with it.

Also, does anyone know if Virgin Vapor uses diacetyl as a butter flavor.

I've been trying to figure it out on my own but little seems to be known on the subject of inhaling flavors. I've taped into the effects of flavors in tobacco, stoners who vaporize plants, scented candles and aromatherapy. I beeline all the info is out there it just needs some expertise and organizing. For example, I am still not sure if oil breaks down safely in the lungs such as essential oils like cinnamon and others used in e liquids or if it sits there forever.

I emailed Virgin vapors and they claim there is no diacetyl. I'm not worried too much about trace amounts as time will enable better processing for liquids.

I don't vape the hot cinnamon flavors... just cinnamon roll type but I found out fast that if I vape it long enough (more than an hour chain vaping) it will irritate my throat. However, I want to add that I don't tolerate cinnamon well to start with. Even raisin toast with cinnamon in it can irritate my stomach. I do love the taste so much so I vape it on occassion but very lightly... same way I do eating it. Christmas wouldn't be the same without a cinnamon stick in apple cider but I drink maybe half a cup. And, btw, there are other spices that will give me stomach problems and are contained in ejuices also like ginger, nutmeg, etc... the holiday ejuices and pumpkin pie ones. Actually the majority of spices will irritate... even garlic and I do have a pizza ejuice. You should just use the foods for a rule of thumb. If it bothers your stomach, it will probably irritate your throat. An example: oddly enough roasted jabanero peppers don't bother me eating them and one of my favorite juices contains an extract of it and it doesn't bother my throat either.

All I vap is Atomic Cinnacide from Tasty Vapor as it is the only flavor I really care for except for the Black Licorice which I can tolerate if my cinnamon doesn't make it here in time. I have never had a problem and have been using it for about 3 years. I don't know about any ill effects but I figure they can't be any worse then smoking normal cigs so I will take my chances. :D
