When I got my first vape, I was 21-22. That was about 31/2 years ago. I can still remember myself vowing to my father that if he would buy me a new electronic cigarette at a $50 value I would quit cigarettes cold turkey. An that's what happened. My dad took me to the shop, bought me the e-cig and I did indeed quit cold turkey. My mother was so happy because now she didn't need to have the awful smell coming off me and to her it was as if I quit cigarettes and didn't consider vaping a form of cigarette smoking. My dad even paid for my e-cigarette liquid for a while. They are still supporting me for my vaping needs meaning they are happy I vape still and don't turn back. My siblings are supportive too for me.
Support is crucial to quitting cigarettes through vaping. I know that everyone has a different situation though and some have family support and some don't. Some consider other support areas as their "family" support. I am very interested in hearing from others about family support when quitting or any other thing that supported and supports them now too in their vaping journey.
