After 26 years of nasty stix and numerous quit attempts I decided to give vaping a serious go. I tried an ego t few years back but was not all that impressed and returned to smoking shortly after. I have been lurking on and off here for few years too as have really wanted to quit smoking but felt like there is no hope for me after numerous fails.

I spend the last 3 weeks doing some serious research into different "beginner" setups that would be decent but not break the bank. That way I can invest into something better as a reward If I manage to stick with this this time around. ( and if the fda does not mess it all up...)

thank you all for this great forum and all the information and encouragement out here. I been using my "new toy" for 2 weeks now and went from 2PD to 8 cigs total in those two weeks. And they already taste like poop!! I am feeling really hopeful atm.

Welcome Mogy and congratulations on the move to the vape world! It is very exciting and as I'm sure you will be able to tell soon, once you quit cigs altogether you will feel so much better. I quit completely back in January and haven't looked back since, truly. The forums are such a wonderful support network, whenever you feel the slightest bit of panic, you have only to log on to be connected to people the understand! Glad you are here!

Congrats on cutting on tobacco cigarettes, i've been through a similar transition phase as yours. Tried e-cig a year ago and couldn't make them work so i went back to cigarettes. My mother had a surgery for a blocked arteries because of cigarettes so i decided to give vaping another go because i knew i couldn't quit on my own since i enjoyed smoking. I had lots of ups and downs and it took me about a week before i could quit the cigarettes, but ive been off cigarettes for 2 weeks now, not a single one. I miss them a bit in the morning and i occasionally have small cravings that i can easily control, but i put the blame for that on my lack of experience. Im sure ill find the right setup/juice/nic strength and whatnot eventually and wont miss cigarettes. Hope it'll be the same for you!

Thank you all!! I bought 2 ego style batteries to start out with 1 vision spinner and one ego vv3 mega and protank3 i got the airvalve add to the protank too but so far I seem to like it better with the regular bottom piece. So far I have been very happy with my beginner gear. I really enjoy vaping and feel already so much better than I did when I was smoking.

I was eyeballing the different mods and more expensive setups before I made my purchase but decided to get this to practise with. Also it is nice to have some room to improve and reward myself in the future if this is a success.
