Newly addicted to vaping

After 17 years of smoking, this is my first ever week of not having a cigarette after discovering vaping. I tried cig-a-likes numerous times, but wasn't ever satisfied with the flavor. After getting an Evod and trying lots of different juice, I can easily see why the others never worked for me! My daughter and husband are happy to not be breathing in my noxious fumes any more, and I hope to not get caught up in mod fever so I can save some money for fun things!

Im a new vaper as well and I do know that mod too well. Wanted to try a mech mod but the work involved in RBA is just too much for someone on the go (for work). Looks nice tho

aw if i can re-coil my tiny Kanger heads, anyone can do a real RBA, its not nearly as small in there

I watched this video for my heads: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrvwOf13U-s

I use this so I can see: http://www.harborfreight.com/jumbo-helping-hands-with-led-lights-65779.html

I would suggest trying to find something with better magnifying power than this, it has a TINY area thats 6x magnification, and while it works and I can use it..its really small and sort of a pain in the .... too. But, for a cheapo tool? It works. I took off the little claw arms (alligator clips) cuz they get in the way and for this..im not using em. I just want some light on the subject and to have it really blown up big to see how many wraps im doing. Made a 12 wrap coil today, will try it later.

Add in this: $10.19 Atomizer Resistance Tester (Ohm Meter) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping or get a slightly better one from this side of the world (shipping will take more than a minute from China)

a 5/64ths drill bit for coils is what I use and some 30 gauge wire, and CVS sterile cotton balls.

If i can do this, anyone can...im seerious. I made a coil today and it came out alright. Practice makes perfect.

*NEVER* say never....did you say you were never going to quit cigs? Exactly!

For what it's worth my "bargain" first MOD + RDA ever was...

K100 (Empire clone)

plus a ....

IGO-W Rebuildable Dripping atomizer..

TOTAL: $60.00 out the door for my mod + atty

I have a million awesome vape shops in southern california, so I just went into one.. Empire Vape - Norco, CA - and the owner showed me how to wraps coils, talked about battery saftey, etc.

He built my first dual coil setup for me, and drilled me airholes out larger...

My first coil I did myself was not that good, but my 2nd and third coils were great! Now I can wrap 2 coils in under 5 minutes. I usually run dual coils at around .5ohms total.

Clouds on clouds on clouds!

Enjoy your journey into vaping! Just educate yourself, have fun, and dont get drunk and have an analog! Bring that vape to the bars/restaurants! Have extra batteries!

As someone "on the go" (at work) rebuilding coils isnt like open heart surgery lol... I too started with an Evod, bought an eVic for the office at work, had a bunch of eGos for the bar nights, when i didnt want to bring my evod around but eventually.. i got my eyes opened...

Hopefully you have some actual brick and mortar vape shops near you, do yourself a favor and go inside one, and ask one of the guys/girls behind that counter to rebuild a coil for you on a demo RBA just "to see how it's done"

Then tell me if it's too mind bending to wrap your mind around.. its literally twisting wire around some wick..

Don't knock it till you rock it! Like another Elfy said... As ex-cigarette smokers we're all hard-headed and stick with our "method/brand" faithfully, sometimes blindly... but now that we're living a healthy positive lifestyle with vaping, give it a shot and see what all the fuss is about with these mods and RBAs/RTAs/Genesis Style atomizers.

It's all very basic stuff, it just sounds complicated.
