and to me using flavoring is like pouring steak sauce all over a fine cut of meat. ;)

No, steak sauce is for a bad cut of meat. A good cut of meat calls for a fine Cabernet sauvignon butter reduction sauce with hints of pepper, grilled chopped garlic and onion.

I tried unflavored this week and still don't get the appeal. It reminded me of when the only cig you could find was an ultra light when you are used to smoking regular. Different strokes

Have to agree. I finally tried unflavored after all the hype.
Definitely like having a generic, after having a taste for the best

Try putting 4 or 5 Drops of your Favorite Flavored e-liquid into a tank of Unflavored. You might like it.

I usually get my nic from ecigexpress or mfs. I did get a sample from nude nicotine. Their nic is clean as in zero taste. I prefer ecigexpress.
I've tried both and like the smoothness of NN much more. 24 mg 70pg/30 vg still gives me enough throat hit, without the peppery taste.

I do think those of us who do have compromised respiratory conditions are the ones who will notice potential problems first and foremost because our lungs are more sensitive and responsive, where as those who do not have respiratory issues with their lungs... their lungs will be late to the game in showing warning signs because their lungs can tolerate a lot more before being affected by it. Course this is just me and my two cents and not intended to offend those who feel differently about flavors and their choice to use them.

I've never vaped unflavored for any length of time. I have though not vaped for a couple of days and didn't notice any difference in how my lungs felt. I have mild COPD, but your condition might be worse than mine.

Certainly if you are satisfied vaping unflavored, you're removing a lot of what risk there is possible from vaping.

I really enjoy flavorings and also enjoy the smell of them in a room. Most people who come into the room where I store my flavorings love the smell too. It's like stepping into a candy store :). I love onion and garlic both while I'm eating it and also smelling either on my wife's breath after we eat. I also really like the smell of sawdust after running my table saw for an hour and the way the whole house can smell of it if I leave the garage door open for a while. The smell of burning wood and cigarette smoke are also quite nice.

Yup, I really just like flavors and smells. Sound, sight and touch are really neat too. OTOH, I really wish my dog would let me know before she farts so I could move away for a bit. That's not so good ;)

I guess we're a strange few that actually still like the smell of a burning cigarette. I was blessed to work with many types of wood for over 30 years and my favorite time of the year is in the fall when I pull out a work jacket from the closet and it still smells slightly of pine, cedar, etc. Wood fires, especially pine, remind me of camping, which I love to do (not rv wannabe but in a tent).
My son's girlfriend makes her own juices. I'll ask him next time I see him if she can sell me a couple of MLs of unflavored so I can try out it out. I kinda like that syrupy smell of fog machines myself.
And yeah I agree with the dog , plural in my case. Those silent but deadlies they pump out every now and then are ridiculously horrid to be around.

 Boy Howdy, Ain't that the truth, I remember back in the day when I had an inside dog. Everyone in the house was blaming ME for the stink . It's been Just over a year since I quit tobacco and my taster is still muted a bit. I really like Garlic and Onions also, if the flavor is not strong I don't taste it very much so it's not that enjoyable for me. That's why I have just given up and gone to Unflavored. When people post about a juice's subtle Notes, I have NO idea what they mean. That's what 52 years of tobacco did for me. Unflavored for me it is.

I tried to go unflavored several years ago and it tasted like I was vaping snot.

I have noticed my flavors taste stronger now since I moved to sub ohms. I may have to cut them back some just to keep from being overwhelmed but I couldn't imagine vaping completely unflavored juice.

Now that I have switched to 50/50 24 mg unflavored, I am in a happy place. Never could find a "flavor" that I could stay with for long. And by DIY for the juice and coil builds, am saving a lot of money which helps when you are 75 on a fixed income. And just to add a little excitement to my cranky world, I discovered sqounking was perfect for me. Thanks to many members that already knew about that.

I switched too unflavored a few months ago, when I also started DIY'ing. I add menthol to mine, just as I did to every flavor I use to vape.

I get the menthol crystals from Wizard Labs, they sell 15g for about $3, I mix a 15g bottle with 240ml of PG. I add that 100% PG menthol at 20% to my juice, comes out perfect, for me at least.

My favorite smell in the world.. I purposely go to the smoking sections just to catch that freshly lit smoke. That stale smoke smell in the clothes is a bit of a drag, but that's why laundry machines were invented.

I think my number one best smell is that of a freshly lit good cigar. I know good is subjective so.... maybe a La Gloria Cubana . The second best, for me, is a freshly lit pipe as long as they are not smoking an old tire.

Haha I'm with you on the "subtle notes", a flavor has to about smack me in the face before I can notice it after all my years of smoking. How folks can detect four different flavors on the inhale and two more on the exhale is beyond me :D it's either tobacco or a fruit or a vanilla custard to me :p

I just might have to try squonking when the hot summer weather returns and my bottom coil tanks start gurgling again. Right now in this cool weather they're vaping very well :)
