Vaping has changed my life!

I'm a 32 yo female who's been smoking a pack a day the last 2 years and have been smoking since I was 16. I'm at 57 days with no analogs and feel great. I can swim longer & faster, I don't wheeze at night, I don't smell and my non-smoking husband is thrilled he doesn't have to worry about all the bad things ciggs were doing to my health and can kiss/cuddle me without me smelling nasty.

I started with a Halo Triton and then decided to try the Kanger bottom coil tanks and vv batteries. I went to a brand new vaping store and the guy there sold me 2 fake Evod batteries for $30 each and a possible bum charger. I didn't know they were fake & both batteries only lasted a week each. Live & learn. Thanks to the forum I've learned so much and have found trustworthy vendors to buy my gear from. I'm still angry about the place that sold me worthless batteries at full price without telling me & taking advantage of the fact that I was an inexperienced vapor. I imagine if they continue this shady business practice they won't be in business very long. I am most upset that they could have put my safety at risk by selling me what I'm pretty sure are unregulated batteries and an ego charger for my Evod (not sure if that makes a difference but the charger would take 24 hrs to go from red to green...I even tested it on my new genuine Kanger vv and it did the same thing. Not cool. But I want to thank this forum for all the helpful advice & list of trustworthy suppliers. I am now much more knowledgeable and know what to look for to get the gear I need.

So thanks again! I know I never would have been able to quit without these wonderful ecigs. And ladies...I actually lost weight since I quit smoking and took up vaping so don't let the fear of post quitting weight gain deter you. My swimming stamina has totally improved, I drink tons of water & just make better food choices since I feel so good about quitting analogs and no longer poisoning my body with all that smoke & chemicals & tar. My husband says I look even better & healthier then when we started dating when I was 21 and a dedicated smoker! I've no desire to ever smoke again and this is coming from someone who thought she'd never be able to quit. Happy vaping everyone!

Way to go!!!! Welcome to the forums and Congrats on kicking the butts to the curb. Yeah, the nice thing for here is that everyone is very helpful in their own ways and you know what they say about 2 brains being better than 1. Try adding the whole community.......

For sure! I lurked on here for a long time and learned so much. Still have way more to learn and am looking forward to finding help to any questions I might run into and being able to help others any way I can!

Congratulations and so happy to hear your story! Thank you for sharing your new wonderful life.

Thanks..it was reading other people's success stories that helped motivate me and if I can help even one person on the road to quitting analogs and make the switch to vaping I'd be so happy for them!

Sorry I replied twice by accident...still getting used to how to post lol

Congrats on feeling better and getting healthier!

I feel the same way about reading other peoples stories on here, it helps a lot! Maybe this time round I can stay quit for good. :D

Good luck! To be honest the first week was easier than I expected but I did have one "meltdown" during which I burst into tears for no reason lol. I think it was more to do with the fact that I was still withdrawing from all the other chemicals in ciggs (and pms certainly did not help at that time) lol. But once I got past the 2 week mark all analog cravings really were gone. I was even able to go and have drinks New Years Eve...I was nervous since it was my first time "going out, drinking and no analogs" but I had a great time and didn't crave a cigg once despite having a few rum & cokes & being in an outdoor bar environment. Plus no analogs meant my hangover was minimal since I didn't burn through a pack of ciggs while drinking Hang in there...if I could do it anyone could. I was one of those people who couldn't ever imagine life without a stogie (and would chain smoke every chance I got) and now I can't imagine life with one!
