Vaping in Taiwan anyone?????

Hi all,

I tried poking around the international forums for some info but was un-able to come up with anyone.
I will be bringing my Gus mod w/bliss atty with me to Taiwan this week for vacation. I wanted to know if anyone has had any bad experiences with TSA/Taiwan customs with their mods? or Any experience with this at all? I would hate to have them confiscated my PV. I really do not want to go back to smoking cigarettes for this trip.

I was searching as well but found nothing. TSA wouldn't be the issue. It would be on the Taiwan side. I am also going to Taiwan next week, but I will side with caution and leave my vaping at home.

When are you going and for how long? We will be in Taipei for a week, and then hanging in the outskirts for a week.

Don't believe theres any problems with Taiwan, but i heard ecigs have been outlawed in Hong Kong. And I've had several flights in/out of Taipei with layovers in Hong Kong, so be careful!

Ill be there until the 30th. I will be in Tainan for most of my stay but ill be in Taipei for the first week.

Man cigarettes taste like garbage after I started vaping. I don't know lolz.

My Flight is a direct to Taiwan so I shouldn't be hitting any illegal locations.

Im just worried about Taiwan itself. But I have heard that the convenience stores do sell the crappy e cigs. But Taiwan has been on a crazy anti smoking tear lately or so I heard.

The only places I've seen them say e-cigs are illegal in Hong Kong, is here on this forum, and in the e-cig wiki. I've been to Hong Kong a few times and seen people using them. I'll have to do some more digging for info tho. Some companies, like GoRitchey (Liqua e-juice) have regional headquarters/head offices in Hong Kong.

From what I've read in quite a few news articles besides the wiki and forums, been illegal in HK for several years, but residents still import & use at their risk. Been awhile since I've been to Hong Kong (or Taipai), it very well may be a lot of misinformation out there!

Well all is well i was able to get thru TSA and customs here in Taiwan with out any issues. No one even cared.
Not sure what the laws were but the locals were kind of looking at me funny. Oh well.

people are generally very friendly in taiwan, most of them don't care whatever you are smoking. just use common sense, you will be fine.

dont worry guys. i am from Taiwan and im using ecigs, no problem on here
all my orders included ejuices are allowed here, but we are not allow to sell ecigs here

absolutely!!!! Seemed everyone I came into contact with, from taxicab drivers to folks I worked with, had a keen interest and truly wanted & enjoyed getting to know you!

I have been buying ecig products and shipping them to Taiwan with no problem, even traveled in and out of it. I heard that there is a store in Taipei that sells ecig products, anyone know about it? It would be great because shipping everything from outside of Taiwan get expensive not to mention the time it takes to arrive.

Good, that answered some of my unasked questions Hong Kong and Taiwan are on my travel itinerary for the next 3 weeks .... Good thread timing ......

And getting ecig hardware through Mainland China airports (mainly going there) CAN'T be any more challenging than trying to hide lighters from the Mainland China and Taiwanese customs folks lol. I have never seen a bunch of people so rabid, effective and efficient at finding a hidden lighter in your carry on - AND - checked baggage !!!
