One of the few places I feel totally comfortable vaping is a pharmacy of all places. I'm a regular customer and the pharmacy staff knows me by name. I was just there and vaped all through the store. No comments, no funny looks. I do use my cig-alike when I vape there because as much as I like my vape box, I feel people will think I'm using something illegal, like a portable ..... :p It just seems easier, if asked, to explain the e-cig if it looks like an analogue. It's obviously not a cigarette but is in a form people are used to seeing. I use my cig-alike in the grocery store as well. I have gotten curious looks there, but no one says anything, which kind of surprises me.

Every time someone see's me with my Vamo I get all types of questions. I've actually had a cop turn his car around while I was waiting at the bus stop to ask me if it was a ".... or some other ......... thing". After I explained that it was a larger modification of the smaller ECigs that they sell in the gas station he wanted one for himself. I gave him the business card from the vendor I ordered from and he went on his marry way. Lately I learned to stealth vape in public. I still vape everywhere I just try to make sure no one is around if I am somewhere where people may be offended. If there are people and I still want to take hit I just blow it into my my shirt.

I vaped with a spinner at a restaurant and one of the waiters actually asked me if it was a has pipe. Lol Like the person who posted earlier, once he knew what it was, he was fascinated by it and let me keep using it. I can just imagine the reactions I will get when my bank comes in the mail in a few days. Lol

I don't go to restaurants often but so far I'm 2 for 2 saying no. First one the manager came over and showed me his ecig and said no. Second one the waitress said, "no, it doesn't make any sense but you have to go outside with the smokers." Both were restaurant/bars so it makes sense to me, drunk people seeing "smoke" could think they are free to light up. Personally if I was the bar owner I'd be selling ecigs and telling smokers you can't smoke but buy this ecig and you're free to stay inside while getting your nic fix.

But Walgreens, I go there at least once a month.

I've read several posts around the forum where members have said
they know of bars which sell disposables and of course - promote e-smoking.

Sometimes I feel weird vaping in a resturaunt... ppl stare and talk amongst themselves and it makes me feel uncomfortable so usually i'll just wait it out, here in Charlotte NC there's a lot of vape friendly places but I wont vape unless i see someone else doing... (i don't like confrontation) lol
Understood ... and that's OK
Open vaping in public is not for everyone
