I wanted to go to a local vape store but was feeling like a big joke. I am new and self conscious. I sucked it up and went. The first thing I saw when I walked in was a woman that was older then me sitting at the table trying out the flavors . What? vaping is not just for the cool kids? The owner was so nice and helpful. He showed me all kinds of new flavors that I never would have thought of trying just from their names. I am so glad I went. I tried a flavor that I just can't stop thinking about. I will have to go back and buy it. It was a cinnamon mint combo. So good! Yep, this is fun. :)

I'm not a cool anything, and I'm vaping like a fiend! And my local smoke shop has very helpful vapers too. Both customers and employees. One of the employees actually dissuaded me from buying a certain juice because "most of my customers who bought that brand come back and tell me its the worst juice they've ever had, so you should know that before you buy it." So I bought two bottles of NW Vapor instead. :)

Last time I visited the nearest vape shop there was a new man behind the counter. I'd been in & talked to the owner several times. Turns out the guy helping him out that night was a sheriff! I didn't believe it until he showed me his badge! He had a gun on his belt but heck it's the south & I see people all the time carrying. Turns out that 2 of ladies sitting at a table talking & vaping were also police officers. Lol!

Im the oldest person ive seen at my shop and im only in my early 40's. The kids are all grouped together chatting and u have to push through the click to taste juices. And I know kids can look older nowadays but some look 15-17 I've stopped shopping there....

That would have scared me off for sure!

I like the guys at my local shop, and love one of their flavors, I have found better prices online for equipment, but not after shipping. But what I have found online that I like are some of the flavors that they don't carry. But it's always nice to have a local supply so I don't have to wait on the mail. So, in order to keep them there when I need them, I will continue to support them for the things they have that I need (even if it is a little more expensive).

You rock. Way to go pulling up your bootstraps and walking through that door!

That's one thing I love about vaping is, just like smoking, it really does not discriminate. However, unlike smoking, the variety of folks who come together to share this common interest is amazing :D

VAPE ON Boyz-Mom!

I love my local b&m. Sure their prices are higher ( it is San Francisco, after all ) and their juice choices are limited, but high quality. The people there are awesome though, very nice and knowledgable. Last time I was in there I had a lovely conversation with an older lady ( 60ish ) from Albuquerque.

Sounds like the shop I discovered in Albuquerque. Not only a young group, I felt like I was interrupting some inside group. I found a much more compatible store in Farmington.

There are two different Vape shops near me,one is a local chain and the other has just opened. When I went for the first time to the local chain it was kind of awkward seemed like they had their own clique in there and that I was intruding by just being there, seems like it's more of a hangout for kids than actual customers, and service was really slow because the staff is always bs'ing with someone who isn't buying anything. Whereas the new shop that's opened is great,at first it seemed a bit shady due to the area it's in,but I went in wanting to get my stuff and get out but ended up talking shop with the owner for about half an hour and the guy gave me a nice discount and some complimentary stuff. So weird how shops can be so different.

More often than not, I am the oldest person in either of my local vape shops to include owners. Both shops have their advantages & very knowledgeable people. They have always been very patient & helpful to any vaper whether newb or vet & I've never seen them pressure sell anything to a customer. While mail order may be cheaper, you can't beat the face time with a good sales staff. I am a big believer in supporting local business' of all types. Good for the local economy. In both cases my local shops an added plus is that they are both Military Veteran owned. Visit your local B&M's so they are here for us when we need them. And of course,,,,,,

The guys at the Vaporcast near me are great and are always open to helping people who are new or experienced with vaping. Some areas don't have many shops so it might be hard to find a store that is willing to help out someone who is new. The more times you go, the more they will get accustomed to you and will be glad to help you. Just gotta do your research!
