I started vaping just 10 days ago. I have been 1 PAD Marlboro Lights for 20 yrs.
Using Ego-T "B" (4) atomizers (2) 650 bat and (2) 900 bat. Over a dozen flavors mostly 24mg. Picked up some cartomizers today.

At first I LOVED this and was really surprised that I didn't have any analog cravings.

The last 3 days or so have been rather unsatisfying vaping. I keep changing flavors thinking something different would appeal to me. Even my early favorite (TV Geoff's Blend) just doesn't have the stronger taste or satisfaction that I want. I swapped out atomizers thinking that could be it. Nope. I bought some carts and while it was warmer, I felt like I was getting less vape. I even bought some USP VG and added a few drops. Thicker vape but bad taste.

I have been vaping CONSTANTLY all weekend- I mean non stop and I still don't feel satisfied. I see plenty of vapor but I just feel like I don't taste anything. I feel ancy like I cant get enough.

A couple shipments of new flavors are on their way from Tasty Vapor and Mrs T. Great Lakes Vaping is local to me and I met up and talked to Jay (really a nice guy). He will have a GLV ready for me to pick up tomorrow after work. Hopefully the 5V and new juice will make a difference.

Anyhow..enough rambling. Is it normal to kind of hit a plateau? I'm wondering if it has something to do with quitting analogs but I would have suspected if it was attributed to nicotine level then it would have happened sooner. Does vaping mess with your sense of taste? Geoff's Blend was strong and very enjoyable to me at first. Now I can barely pick up the flavors.

I'm not a happy camper right now and I can only imagine what tomorrow @ work will be like.

I had the same thing happen. I was vaping like a madman when I gave up analogs and had no cravings really until 8-10 days in when I really felt like I needed one. I didn't cave in and the craving passed and I haven't gotten that craving again yet. Now I've gone 3 hours without even a crave for vaping, compared to when I was smoking cigarettes and I would get the craving almost every half hour. Hopefully your cravings will be gone soon! I've heard it can take as long as a month to rid yourself of the chemical dependence of analog cigarettes.

The same thing happened to me, Brodie. After a couple of days, all my flavors tasted like NOTHING! I mean nothing. I was so disappointed.

The only flavor that tasted like anything was menthol. So I stuck with menthol for a couple of days. Now I am on Day 13, and I have been able to taste flavors for a few days.

I would say that it only lasted for about 3 days, thank goodness.

Another thing that REALLY helped was finding a good cartomizer. I tried 4 different ones until I found the best. I have a Kgo, and I think it is similar to the Ego.

This cartomizer ROCKS! The Smoketech Dual 1.5 ohm cartomizer. I got it from Hoosier.

Thanks Spicyed. At least there is hope. I was so excited about vaping and the idea of giving up analogs. I know its trading one addiction for another but many agree that it is better. I had/have a plan to switch to vaping and once I find the favorite go to juice...slowly wean down the nicotine level.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that hit a roadblock and that it does pass.

I don't recommend this for everyone. But it works for me when "I'm just not getting the satisfaction" out of vaping.

Check out "whole tobacco alkaloid"

It's made by Vapelicious. He doesn't have an ordering website, but I'll PM his phone number if you are interested. This stuff really works. Do the research. Get a hold of me.

Don't be too hard on yourself and give yourself time. You're taste buds might be healing right now it sounds like. Have you used a strong menthol? Menthol might give you the satisfaction you feel like you're missing right now. Its good when you have a cold too, and tends to be a flavor people can taste even when the taste buds don't feel like working.

I haven't tried menthol but when it came to analogs I really hated menthol.

It's funny...I don't know what the craving is for. It kind of feels like nicotine withdraw but I don't see how with the amount of vaping lately. It's like I crave flavor but not necessarily for food.

I just went to garage for an analog. I thought that might do the trick. 2 puffs and I put it out as it tasted disgusting.

Well at least I can taste something.....

try mega dual coil cartomizers. i get sooo much more taste with these than I did when I used the type A or B atty. yeah, you have to charge the battery more often, but I rotate 4 egos and have no problem. totally worth it to me.

Which mega dual cartos do you use?
Now that I tried the Smoketech mega dual, I hate all my other cartos!

I use the smoketek(smokeforpennys) and the resurrector (CCV).

The smoketek has a denser, but cooler vape. The resurrector seems to be a bit hotter, with good vapor density, but not quite as much as the smoketek. Or you could say, the smoketek throws more nic faster, but the resurrector throws better flavor.

This is on an ego 650 passthrough batt.

I just broke out my WTA atty. I'm melting into my chair.

hi brodie..U tried to get a vape similar to what cigarette provide for smokers..from the statement U made "Does vaping mess with your sense of taste?"..i am sure U referring to the flavors use in vaping..like U i smoked for over 30+ yrs..now in my 60 yrs..i have finally succumbed to strictly vaping.

in the beginning like U..i doubt i could give up on analogs..but with the support i was getting from members & veterans here..it took me over a month be4 i gave analogs the boot..whatever reasons dont give up on e-cig..it takes time and patience to learn about electronic cigarette..i learn through by dropping in here everyday to peruse thro' the mountain of informations from health to getting the right gadgets..and any unanswered questions U might have..there are veterans & members willingly to help solve/suggest and also the support in encouragement..like i needed when i started my vaping journey 8-9 months ago..since than i am able to support others..hopefully U and ask for U to stay with e-cig..i gain back my senses in smell & taste and gaining weight due to food that used to be bland to me when i was smoker..and not to mentioned the endless coughs and phlegm associated with smoking..good luck and hope U find yr right vape..regards mafig
