The Shining one is full of win as well, that movie has been creeping me out since I saw it way back when.

Didja get to see King's remake, as a mini-series with Steven Weber? It was amazing too, like the book that King actually wrote, instead of Kubrick's interpretation. I like them both of course, but it was absolutely great to see it thru Stephen King's actual lens -- it was MUCH creepier, but it depicted more of the REAL horror, the craziness of an alcoholic parent.

And of course King's cameo as the bandleader. a la Hitchcock -- and Mel Brooks!
