Hey people new guy incoming from the UK.

To my own disgust i am still on the analogs but this will change I hope forever when my new kit arrives this week. I hit an all time low of late using patches and analogs, so in the interest of my family and my pocket vaping is going to be my saviour.

I was on the edge of a rash purchase from an Daily Mail offer of some low end e-cig starter pack when I happened across this wealth of information and thank god i did.

Anyhow i eagerly await my twists batteries, tank for home and cartomizer for work and some Grizwald's samplers from www.vapeescape.co.uk

My wife does'nt share my love of this new interest but the benefits i hope will be huge.

Hope to speak with some you very soon when i get confused and curious! :glare:

Grats man, and welcome to the club! Good buys I say, seems almost everyone is universally happy with the combo you selected. I was a total analog junky. I'd buy em with change, bum them off people, hell I've even stolen a few to get my fix. From that first puff of my EGO I never looked back.

Your wife will come around in short order I think, though some people (Anti-Tobacco club in the US) hold to their bias pretty hard. A cop stopped me the other day and asked about my cig. I explained it so then he asked why I don't just quit altogether. I told him I don't know, why don't I quit eating at McDonald's (had a drink from there in my hand)? Why don't I quit drinking soda and coffee? That stuff will surely kill me before this will. He nodded his head and said, "Good point.".

Bottom line is, once you switch you'll smell 10 times better, no more ashtrays, lighters, having to go outside in the rain, cold, and heat. She won't have to wait on you to finish a smoke to go in somewhere (ok, not everywhere is really accepting of them but you have a lot more flexibility). The benefits are indeed huge and you will enjoy them immensely, I know I do!

gratz on the choice to start i dont think the word amateur in your post will be very aplicable  once it gets its hooks into you with mods and the vast array of flavours then the diy mixing starts so on so on
the good thing even though it drains the credit cards it dont take long to make it back with intrest as you can see with my banner this is just me, my wifey has enbraced vaping as well spent over £500 on kit for both of us look a likes ,riva's ,ive got a silver bullet and a lava tube, and mix my own juice but still quids in and the health benifits to boot :vapor:

Welcome to vaping! I really hope this gets you off analogs and you stick with it. I vape from the time I wake up until I go to bed usually. I've regressed to analogs before for that unmistakable hit, but that happens rarely. Don't feel bad if you do it too. But vaping is really quite good and I wish you nothing but success with it. Be warned though, that burnt taste when a carto runs out isn't pleasant, just try to slow it down when you think it's getting low so you can refill and reuse!

Congrats!!! I'm so happy you've found the forum and didn't have a bad experience with some craptacular kit.

Stick around.... ask questions, about ANYTHING. Everyone here has been so supportive, and someone has been through whatever issue you may find yourself going through.

Keep vaping. You're going to have good days, bad days, and days when you may even break down and have a cigarette. DON'T beat yourself up if it happens, celebrate every cigarette you don't smoke and be willing to experiment until you settle into a vaping experience that satisfies you. Eventually you'll prefer vaping to smoking. (Yes, really!!!) Some people start vaping and never smoke another cigarette...... most of us continue smoking but drastically reduce our number until we're at 0. Don't be discouraged if it takes some time.

I vaped last year for 4 months-ish, no cigs, then had a couple family tragedies hit and picked up the smokes again... smoked for about 3 1/2 months, ordered enough supplies to make sure I'd be stocked for at least a month, and started vaping again. This time, I smoked when I needed to, vaped when I could do that instead, and I can say that the stress level was far less, and I'm finally at a point where I don't think I'll want to smoke again. (Although if I do smoke 1, no big deal... back to the vape.. it tastes better, feels better, and it's kind of fun. LOL)
