Hi Everybody,

I've previously mentioned frustrations with my original PV of choice - and they were all based on technical considerations like leaking, burnt taste, failures to draw, and generally inconsistent performance. Flavour was not a major consideration although I have never been able to reproduce what I consider to be a realistic duplication of any brand of analogs which I used to smoke. If my Camels ever tasted like the Camel e-juice which I was so eager to try then I can't believe that I ever smoked so many for so long! Now I'm thinking that poor flavour was yet another weakness in my PV - maybe my new clearomizers will add a whole new dimension to my vapeworld. I really hope so. Expecting so? Not that much of an optimist, so I'm sticking to just hoping. Soon know - how soon depends on the mail. Expectation is Monday or Tuesday, I hope!

Cheers, hopefully expectant phanto:)

Dude! It ain't rocket science! You will not get the taste (nasty as it was) of that ammonia laden .... There are very tasty juices (HHV) that are extracted from good tobacco and WILL replace your need for tobacco products. Start with a 5 volt device and standard joyetech atties and just drip; you would be surprised at the satisfaction you can derive from basic setups. You don't need to be dissappointed; read everything on this forum and press the good people on it to steer you in the right direction. PM me and I will help.

Never been a fan of the tobacco flavors. In fact, never liked plain analogs, I always smoked a menthol.

I'm not sure about the tobacco-extracted flavors spoken of above, as I've never tried them. However, it is the opinion of many here that you'll never find a tobacco flavor that comes close to duplicating the taste of a burning cigarette. It's just impossible to replicate a flavor resulting from burning tobacco leaves and paper.

Vaping provides a great opportunity to try other equally satisfying flavors if you give them a try. It may take quite a bit of experimentation with many flavors and vendors, but the majority of vapors find that once they have successfully stopped smoking via vaping, the taste of a cigarette is the last thing they want to taste.

I've always smoked menthol because the plain tobacco analogs were nasty to me. I HAVE gotten samples from Heather's Heavenly Vapes Gandalf/Heavenly Tobacco/Huntsman/Dragons Fire and at first they were sweet like pipe tobacco, so I put them away. Two weeks later, having steeped, they are the smoothest, most magnificent tobacco flavored niquids I have - and I have A LOT! I savor them in the morning with coffee and need to get more soon. Let them STEEP.

I like my tobacco extract juice. But then I like a lot of different flavors. If you get a chance stop over in the E-liquid forum and check out Heather's Heavenly Tobacco thread. They have a lot of juice that I almost use on a daily basis. The folks over there are kinda crazy like the rest of us are. And I can recomend the Mocha Java Smooth. One of my favorites along with several others. As you know by know don't let the name fool you. You might be surprised at what you enjoy. Serendipity didn't sound good to me or Gandalf but I like em both. And of course this is just my:2c: There are so many wonderful vendors to choose from. Good luck with the new journey. And I agree that most of HHV juice needs to steep a lot to mature. I have my own way that most make fun of but hey it works for me.

I agree with never finding an e-juice that is exactly like an analog but I found one I like at Tasty Vapor. Their tobacco flavor is better than most but a GOOD throat hit is what you are after. I found mine with a Smok Tech mega ego cartomizer and T-Rex ego. My regular 650mah batteries are even doing the job. I bought a Riva ego 1100mah battery, thinking it would be even better, and it doesn't match the standard starter kit's 650 mah batteries. just my :2c:

Hey dude, mate,

I'm not a rocket scientist, my qualifications are in engineering and economics, and my occupation for 10 years prior to retirement was a systems engineer - you know, the profession where people convert caffeine into code, although in my case it was more nicotine than caffeine. I fear you miss the point, I was a non smoker for >10 years before becoming a vaper, I have no "need" for tobacco products which you urge me to get away from, but I would like to recapture a flavour more like the Camels which I used to love than chicken soup. My sympathies are with those who are trying to give up analogs and if you read enough of their posts you might realise that they almost all start with tobacco flavours and many of them would like to find a flavour which could give them the feeling of the real thing without any of the nasties associated with their former death sticks. My partner is one such, she like a B & H flavour, but frankly it tastes no different to me than most of the rest. Without her knowing, and being the "Chemist" in this domain, I have mixed her several other flavours incl Marlboro, USA mix and Camel and she has never seemed to notice any difference. All in the mind I guess. We have tried samples of various non-tobacco flavours but neither of us likes them much. My personal real-life favourites would be bluberry and lemon meringue pie. Unfortunately, the samples we have tried are not good. For myself, I did manage to find a decent chocolate flavour which tastes very much like cocoa, particularly as an aftertaste. So I can go to bed with a nice cup of cocoa as many of us oldies like to do. Oh yes, finally, dripping is for taps and other leaky appliances, but def not for me. Thanks anyway dude.

. I agree with your assessment; it was the most revolting flavor that I've ever tried, and ruined the cartomizer that I used it in.

And yes, unlike a former President, I used to inhale.

Yeah, those were the days. You might enjoy this song from one of your country's greatest talents who most people outside of S. Africa and Australia have never heard of: Sixto Rodriguez - Sugar man - YouTube
Cheers.

You might want to look into e-juices with Whole Tobacco Alkaloids Phanto. The theory behind them is that nicotine isnt the only addictive chemical in cigarettes. Users of this report getting the same relaxation effect they used to get with an analog. The downside is they are usually more expensive than even premium e-juices but many of them have tobacco tastes.

Barring that suggestion, Ive heard really good comments on HHV juices as well as Bobas Bounty, Gorilla Juice and Gamel from Alien Visions.

Worth a try anyway :)

Hi Kable, glad you like Sixto. We have vinyls of his only 2 LPs dating back 30 years. He only ever recorded 23 or 24 songs, most if not all are now on youtube. Great news for us (in Australia) is that your boy from Detroit was brought back to life as a result of the recent movie Sugarman and I think he's living a happy family life back in Detroit. Beats Dylan hands down but never made it in USA. No idea whether he vapes though. And always remember "a monkey in silk is a monkey no less" - always makes me smile when I hear that line. Happy hunting.

Hey Now!!! :) Edit: OK, I listened (being a Dylan fan), sounds good. Sounds like he copied his voice, which is strange, but is clearer? Dylan said his voice became alot better after he quit smoking. I don't know.

Yeah, Sugarman is pretty good. Going to have it stuck in my head for awhile, I think.
