My vamo5 control head has finally arrived from china.

I used 2 evod bases and a miniprotank base and 2 bottom half of protank coils minus the coils but with the insulator rings inside and an aluminum rivet running through the middle for the center post; still have to do the soldering to make it semi permanent but I have established proof-of-concept.

Note the 7.5 volts input voltage, and the alligator clips.

Power source is a "MagneticsUSA" MAG-254 2500mA Universal Power Supply with output voltage options of
3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 12 volts

Power supply Rated at 40 watts.

What's the purpose for the Vamo, Isn't it restricted to 1.2 ohms or higher?

?
The purpose for the vamo...

I think you are asking why I'm using the vamo5 control head?
It's supposed to be a control head intended for use on a mech mod;
Unlike my vamo3, the vamo5 control head

Oh kay; I should say vamo5S - it's called a Vamo5-S. Not sure what the S is for.

It is just a control head with a 510 thread at the bottom so you can put on a mech mod.

I am connecting it to a 7.5 volt power adapter.

btw: I can also confirm that holding down the + button activates "Mobile ON" mode, where it seems to go into bypass mode, sending full battery voltage to the topper.

Rather useless; what people would want is really to bypass the fire button so you use the mech button instead.

Made up a new adapter today;
here it is before wrapping with tape:

used an evod base, the top from an old ego/510 battery, and a 510/ego adapter; most importantly used some rubber washers; the center pin is about a 2 inch long rivet, and the main function of a piece of rubber stuffed into a 510 thread well is to add some springiness to the center pin.

Thats like a picasso its gorgeous

I love my passthru 99% used when lounged

I know your loving it

Ooooohhhhh yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

Got two ac/dc adapters now, one plugged in by the computer, and the new one plugged in by the bed, just like I used to use the old vv-usb-minipasstroughs last year; so to move one place or the other I just unplug the little 2-prong thing from one and plug in to the other.
No more holding a potential pipe bomb in the hand, and definitely going to keep battery costs down.

When these batteries die I'll probably pick up 18350's instead of 650's.
