Vaping Oil???

I just received my order from Bear juice. On inspection of the juice all looked normal except the cinnamon. It was separated to about an inch of oil on top (30ml bottle). I make sure all my home brew is pg based flavor and am uncomfortable with oil. Am I being paranoid or should I throw it away?

Um I myself wouldn't vape oil but that might not be oil. If any 2 liquids have different density over time they'll separate unless a bonding agent is involved (and even then they will sometimes).

I'd suggest you contact the supplier and inquire about their ingredients for that particular juice. Oil isn't good for atties, so if they're using cinnamon oil, you ought to find out.

i doubt its oil but ya never know.the supplier will tell ya hopefully.

many liquids differ in density. get some of the stuff on top and see if it it greasy...or if it will hold a flame on the end of a toothpick without burning the wood.

or get a bit of the oil-whatever-on top on a flat surface and add a drop of dish soap-if it turns cloudy when you mix it together the oil is being emulsified by the oil cutters in the soap. if it doesnt turn cloudy then it isnt an oil.

Thanks for the help. I tried rubbing it between my fingers (inconclusive, didn't feel like mineral oil or motor oil), tried tasting it (inconclusive, couldn't taste oil but then tongue was hot and tingly from Cinnamon flavor), tried burning on toothpick (toothpick caught fire immediately but it also did the same thing with the control toothpicks [one bare and one with mineral oil]). Wife (who is not as convinced of the safety of vaping as I am) had a lot to say about the last test. Guess I will have to wait for a reply from Bear Juice on if it is oil or not. I can shake it really well and it will separate out fully in about 20 minutes.

That's not entirely true, oil can have some wicked other surprises. Plus you can get sensitized to it. Who knows if it's vaping or combusting. I wouldn't want to breathe a lot of eucalyptus oil for example, hemlock/cedar either at that.

Inhaling oil can cause a form of pneumonia known as lipoids.

Well I heard back from Bear Juice and what I am seeing floating on top is cinnamon oil. Guess those 2 bottles are destined for the trash. Problem is that I asked about the other flavors and was told that there is some oil in all flavors (they don't show separation though like the cinnamon). First time I've seen a seller using oil based flavors. I knew that I couldn't get anything except cinnamon oil here but I really thought that if they were selling the flavor they must have access to pg based flavor.
