One thing you can try is increasing your nicotine level. I started with what the seller called "high," but it was 18 mg. 24 mg works much better for me, and some people go even higher to get off the analogs. I would advise you to experiment with different things - nic levels, juice flavors, LR attys, larger batts, etc., until you find what you like.

I have posted this many times on this board, but am happy to do so once again. :)

I smoked 42 years. 1 2/3's years ago, my mom died of lung cancer. It wasn't pretty, since lung cancer goes to the brain and she was completely off her nut. I thought, if this doesn't help me quit, nothing will. Well, after she died, I got to the point of being out of control. As a Christian, I never asked Jesus for help as I had no plans for quitting. I ENJOYED smoking......not the coughing, but the smoking. I am on disability and coughing and fibromyalgia don't go together! One morning, when I was having a coughing spasm, my cough sounded just like my mom's. It completely unnerved me. I knew then and there that if I didn't do something about my tobacco intake, I would follow in my mom's footsteps. For the first time in my smoking career, I asked God for help. It wasn't long before I learned about e-cigs. I decided I had to do something. I honestly thought the e-cig would just help me cut down on the smokes. This website was so encouraging.....I kept reading that people would get their kits and after a few days not ever picking up an analog again. That's when I thought that if these people could do it....could it be that I could too? My answer to you is I'll be celebrating my one year without tobacco this month. My family, friends, and doctors were flabbergasted! And you know what???? I AM FLABBERGASTED TOO! I accidentally quit smoking!!! The Lord answered my prayer and I still can't believe it! For me, my faith has played a very strong role. Was it as easy as pie? No. I have been tempted MANY times and I rededicate myself against tobacco when those times happen. I wasn't about to mess up what I had accomplished so far. I will not put that heavy tobacco smoke back in my lungs. Now I will say that I didn't expect to put on 25 lbs., but since I cannot do much exercise because of all of my disabilities, it adhere's to me easily. But I can do something about that easier than I could quit smoking. I love sitting in my doctor's office in the exam room, e-toking in front of him! That is so cool!:2cool:

That is what worked for me. Everyone has a different story. I so totally wish you the best of success! This board is awesome, and I encourage you to be encouraged by it. :)

For me (heavy smoker, full strength, stronger the better) I started a 24mg, and vaped if my eyes were open, went to 30mg and the cravings lessened, bought some 36mg and vaped my head off for a while. But I wasn't craving uncontrollable, and the longer I vaped the more I was able to put the PV down, then lessen the strength a bit (back to 24mg now) and no more cravings. :)

with some people the need for nicotine is not the only reason the smoke...there are other chemicals that combine with nicotine that act as an antidepressant...MAOI's. There are a few threads around that discuss this topic. Looks like you have a good unit and some flavors you like...so check the smokeless tobacco section. I use swedish snus along with vaping to keep me off analogs.

Good Luck!

Here - I posted this for someone else today - hints on helping vaping go smoothly, removing stress, making your setup less prone to failure, avoiding juices that don't satisfy you and more

The whole start of vaping went very smoothly for me since I researched here first for a couple of weeks. My snags were equipment related, one was juice related. Just brief snags. And by the end of the month I replaced my equipment with something better (typical)

I am floating in the same boat as you. I have good equipment and good juice and just can't seem to make myself stop smoking. I vape and smoke. If I don't have a cigarette in my mouth, I have my puffer in my mouth. The odd thing for me is I have went several days without smoking and only vaping, then out of the blue I buy more cigarettes. I don't have all the withdrawls symptoms of quitting when I use my puffer, but my willpower is non exsistant. I keep hoping I will wake up one day and really make it happen.
