Well I can certainly see that point of view Isaac. Im really not sure where I stand in the end. I have honestly considered it from every angle. I think we all know its only a matter of time until the government gets involved on a larger scale. I also think we all know we will evnetually be required to pay a tax of some sort. I honestly only see liquid being regulated in the end. Maybe that is wishful thinking....

The real push we need right now is harm reduction. Not only in the e-cig sense, but all forms of tobacco harm reduction. Punishing those that are trying to take a positive step towards a healthier lifestyle is insanity on part of the government, not to mention a poor "business" decision. Ultimately Harm reduction will reduce government expenditures far more in terms of health related costs than the revenue from taxation will ever produce. Sadly, they cannot see further than the short term.

Involvement is the only thing that we have at this point to sway the overall outcome. The president has no real power, the FDA in the end is somewhat limited. Showing our representatives that there are enough of us to hurt them at the polls is what will win the war.

I wont get into my political opinions of Obama... I will say he cannot afford to alienate a single voter at this point. I dont see him making a move that will have potential of costing him a vote. I most likely see the petition being ignored and swept away.....

Haha I think you killed it Tybin!! Awesome work!! I was talking to a few people this weekend, it may not be a good idea in a sense. I mean Can the petition grant a step forward on nicotine e-liquid to go into pharm regulations?
Yes! You and I talked about this very same thing briefly on Skype! That is my main worry... that it is going to act like an accelerator for things taking a turn south for us. We will have to wait and see.

Absolutely Rupp, I don't see Bama getting anywhere near this for many reasons at all either. This will be a concern for the 'next guy' so to speak. I know Health Canada as issues with nicotine but as long as that isn't being imported/exported devices and atomizers labelled as such is free to pass. I believe Australia also follows suit or vice-versa. That's one of the small things that gives us a sense of security, as bi-weekly meetings still persist and the plans are drawn out that should keep us protected for when the final call is made. There are fellow vapors that found TH without nic so it's still not a lose/lose scenery in the liquid aspect. I still think good things are yet to come for the vaping community. As for every type of product/hobby/lifestyle, there is always an underground where better things are always offered. Think along lines of Premium PCs that blow minds. Business thrives all the same. :D

well i hope not. regulation is coming, but my hope is that if we stand up and shout like in horton hears a who, congress will think twice about trying these sneaky back door ways to sweep the whole issue under the covers. they need to be re-educated instead of just believing what the fda and the anti-tobacco groups are spoon feeding them. no dialogue, means we lose without having our voices heard. it's much easier to deny when there are no faces to associate with those that have been able to successfully put down the stinkies for an alternative that actually works.:)
