Vaping Problem - Kanger Subtank Nano

Hi there, I've been vaping for about a year now but never really looked at the bigger kits you can get, but now I've purchased a Kanger Subtank Nano and a Eleaf IS tick TC40w.

I also use E juice called: St Louis 50/50 6mg from El Diablo E juice.

The problem I'm getting is whether the wattage of the mod is 10w or 23w I'm getting little smoke and it's pretty harsh on my throat and chest, I'm running with a 0.5ohm coil which came with the Tank.

Is there something that I'm doing wrong? I produced more vape and less harshness from my old 1.8ohm coil in a cheapy tank.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

What is the nicotine level of the juice in the tank ?

Just my guess, but little vapor and harsh (but not burnt) taste sounds like flooding. Try blowing out the tank and/or reseting the airflow.

Sounds to me like you may have burnt the coil. Did you prime it before you fired it the first time. Try another coil if you have on on hand. My wife has the nano, I wasn't really over impressed with it, but it isn't bad at all.

Sounds like the tank is flooding. If there is too much liquid around the coil it tends to produce little vapour and a lot of spitting. If it's not that then you need to experiment with the airflow. Most of the SubTanks require a LOT of airflow to work well.
In my opinion Subtanks are not suited to Mouth to lung vaping and work best with direct lung inhales.
Try a thicker juice to try and reduce the wicking.....

Thanks for all the replies, I've just made some alterations and the coil wasn't flooded and the coil isn't burnt. I've now tested with Direct to lung and it works perfect! Thanks all for the help!

I love the nano, keep it around 70VG, 25-30 watts and 3mg or less nic, use liquids no darker than a dark amber and the coils last me weeks... If using full open airflow you'll probably want to be up in the 30W range and if on the second largest you can do 20-25W. The others are too tight for me so never bother. Flavour always best for me on largest airflow and around 30W...
