Hey there,

Ive swapped from the old 510 that i had to try the riva 901 as from what i was reading the 901 attys were a bit better for flavour, i picked up a 901 to 510 adapter to use the cartos i had aswell

Now when i first tried the lr atty that came with it, i was getting quite a nice smoke and all was good but now im just not feeling it as much but then when my mates give it a go they seem to get more taste than me :( i'm also finding that its not 'hitting the spot' like it use to when i first started out vaping, im using 24mg flavours and just not sure what to try next, at times i feel like i would be better of smoking normally (but normal cigs just taste horrible now lol)

Also when using attys, whats the best way when swapping between different filled carts to get the most from them so you dont get the remains from the previous flavours?

Sorry Kamatari, I don't know the answer to your questions, I just wanted to welcome you to the board.

I don't have any info regarding 901's- they seem to be a bit more popular in the UK than US. Absolutely no idea why, but I noticed on the Liberty Flights website the 901 is on the front page and on the US website not mentioned much. Interesting.

I never had a huge amount of luck using atomizers. I found them very inconsistant and just stuck with boge 3.0 cartomizers on my 510.

I'm sure someone will be along to help you out!

When I made the switch from the 510 to the eGo-T set up, it took some practice to get it right with the eGo (even with the 510 atty on it). Different hardware give different results and it seems that it's a learning curve to find the "right" way to use it for yourself. I've had to make a transition using the 510 when the eGo wasn't up to my standards. Now, my 510 is in my bag as a back up.

It could be a taste bud issue. Your taste buds may be saturated. Are you drinking lots of water? It's not unusual for taste buds to shut down for awhile after vaping especially if you are vaping the same flavor quite a lot. If that is the case then it will clear up in time. A few days, maybe a couple weeks. Some people have tried brushing their teeth and tongue to get taste back or eating something salty (I think).

Changing flavors with attys....Blow out the old juice and drip a few drops of PG and vape without inhaling or just blow it out and see if that works. This works for me unless I'm using a mint flavor, then a major clean has to be done.

do yourself a favor and remove the bridge and mesh from your low res, low volt atty for dripping. i do this after about a week on my 510's but only for my inferno. im about to test doing this on my 6volt, but on 3.7 volt its the only way to go imo. that is assuming the sweet spot is a rich hit. there are plent of youtube vids to show you this trick if you wish to know how. be crefull not to dewick your atty tho

I would vote this...drink plenty of water...change up flavors...clean atty...taste bud issues or a combination theroff are the usual suspects in such things.....

I had the same problem with 901 attys. You need to keep all attys clean or gunk gets built up and their hit/vapor/flavor degrades. But those 901's I had were so hard to clean because the coil compartment is so sealed off. You could try an ultrasonic cleaner or something maybe. I had zero luck cleaning them the usual ways hot water, alcohol. The other problem my 901 attys developed was when you screwed one onto the battery, the barrel would sometimes rotate a bit around the threaded end and that ended up moving some plastic armature or spacer inside the coil compartment around so it partially blocked the side air intake hole and that further ruined their drag.

Those attys pretty much made me sick of fighting with attys. So now I hardly ever use atomizers. I use them to test juice and to drip so thicker juices (only on fully sealed manual batteries) and for all of my favorite thin juices I use cartomizers.
