Hello All here - my post to pondering should I shouldn't I - try vaping

Yes, it's an update upon my Journey. I remain a Non Smoker, Vaper Only - to this day !
April 17th 2015 - I walked out of my local vape store with a setup and I haven't touched
a cigarette since. 29 yrs of smoking, I officially say I am a non smoker.
I do not ever want to smoke a " cigarette" again, never again, I
do not miss it - nope. I started with a 18 nic, now I am between a 6 and a 3mg Nic
Yep :thumb:

For Newbies who are reading, you questioning if you are willing to Pay the price of -
trying vaping, your concern, being money. This what I have " spent " my money on
that is not of a Carton of Cigarettes. I am omitting e=juices, me speaking upon equipment only.

First set up: Eleaf Istick 50watt Battery with a Kanger Sub Tank Mini
I use it daily, it's what I use. 60 dollars - both- local vape shop. 3.99-5.99
for each replacement tank Coil, I have found the cost varies, upon who OWNS the shop. Ahem.

2nd set up, which I ordered online, to receive in the mail after I purchased local
the Eleaf/Kanger - I bought and received the Halo Triton, it arrived 2 days after
I was vaping with the Eleaf/Kanger Tank.

My Halo Triton is used daily as well, it's my go between - it's not obsolete.
I thank it everyday for being in my possession. Yes I do.

3rd - which was days ago, I gained another battery, set up.

I went to my local vape shop a week ago, that I purchased
a new clearomizer for my Halo Triton. I was trying testing e-juices and then looking
within the replacement/consumable supplies.. I saw the clearomizers. I have been
using the same tanks with my Halo since I received it. My not paying attention to
the actual wicks, me thinking it's probably about time I do replace my tank.
Me not thinking of the actual wicks ..it comes to you, after the fact, all is a process.

I am a Newbie, I am not a dentist..yet. I know home with the new clearomizer, 6 bucks, it
reusable. I went to fill it, to use it, with my Triton. Me to realize it was the wrong fitting.
This clearomizer was not compatible with my Triton. Had I had my Triton with
me inside the store, I would not have purchased it. This particular Clearomizer
is set up that you're able to change out the wick, the tank reusable, so I was told..
me to then " Doh'" pay attention to my Triton Tanks.. they too are the same, reusable,
change out the wick, this one (now in my possession) simply is not the same threading base.

I went back to the store for E-juice, I to the gal - that tank I bought last week is
Not compatible thread wise, it doesn't fit my Halo Triton. She to remember me, she
to say that she had " Batteries" that were compatible with that particular Clearomizer
for 15.00, her to discount me. That she would not refund me, yet she would offer me
.. yadda.. Umkay.
I not totally disappointed by her response. 15.00 for a new battery and a charger
complete. The brand Evod. I already had the tank at home.

With my Triton setup I received " 2" Batteries- I lost one. I looked high and low and
it was NO where to be found. This to truly upset me, as the Triton is not a pass through
for charging. You are not able to vape and charge on a Triton, as you are on an Eleaf Istick.

Evod Battery made by Kanger with a charger, she sold both to me for $15.00

I was whatever, at this point, me new to vaping.
As Comparison is all that I have within my own personal preferences, this the
bottom line: if you don't try it how will you know? They to have the Evod batteries
for Testing E-juices, they to me, must have a long battery life right ?

I now have " 4 " batteries as today I found my lost " Halo Triton battery", Yay.
- the Evod does have a long battery life. I did put in my ejuice " Doh" (Motor Oil)
as it was the brand new tank, and I for once was able to vape it " in a clean"
never before used tank, the flavor outstanding, no complaints on the battery nor
clearomizer none: Good solid Vape. The one ugh is the charger (that came with)
as it's strictly a USB port, which it does - as I just tried it, it does fit my Halo " setup"
wall charger. This doesn't help a person though if they do not have a retrofit wall
plug attachment. Just ask and they will have it available: Vape shop

My Halo Triton setup cost online, 54.99. I did buy it from the Halo site, not a distributor,
my purchase over 70.00. I purchased an e-juice, and one extra clearomizer at that time.
Two Batteries within the set up, each are different if you chose them this way: MaH
400 or 650. You truly are getting two full set ups, if you purchase a Halo Triton setup
kit - for 55.00, - 27.50 each broken down, two full set ups, one to use, while the other is charging.

Not everyone has 55.00plus dollars to spend blindly " online" this why I am posting upon what
I have purchased. What has been my experience so far, I have no regrets. I who purchased
a carton of cigarettes weekly for .. endless years, Vaping has given me my power back on
how I chose to spend my money.

That I do not want anyone to go into a Vape shop who is interested in a E-Cig Setup to walk out empty handed. They thinking that a Battery/Tank and Charger even sold separately, toss in a ejuice, total spent around 30-40.00 is a bad investment. It's NOT a bad investment. You are not going the cheap route, nor are you losing out. This is not you purchasing one of the Ecigs sold at a gas station made by Big Corp Cig manufacturer -for under 12.00. They do not want you to like that, this why they are crap. They want you to go back to buying their cigarettes.

You to buy a first set up, with an ejuice " 30-40.00" It's you on the road to " quitting smoking" -
it's you out of your box, nothing to fear, but the unknown. Ask questions, read up prior to going into
a Vape store, this is not rocket science if you have a quality trained person assisting you.

A quality Customer Service Person within a Vape Shop should Understand that YES,
-you are confused by all the " Setups". All and each that are sold separate, a Battery, a Tank, coils, clearomizer, etc etc, as it is overwhelming to one who doesn't know..this person to guide you, not anything less.

Bottom Line you do not have to spend $$$$ or be gouged upon Trying Vaping.

You can purchase a quality first time set up w/o breaking your bank. Okay time passes, first set up, suited your needs for X amount of time. Now you know what you do or do not like, you then have your own sense of what you want to upgrade within. This when you're able to converse with a customer service person, Vape Shop. If they salesperson and or the decorum does not meet your needs, find another Vape shop.. purchase from and be a part of your community. Create a relationship with a person you can build a relationship with. Discounts come with repeat purchases, within Locally owned Vape shops.

They want your business in good faith, they do care. These not the shops of trial and error, a sucker born every min: corp chain stores, poorly trained employees ( I know) - this the difference.

You to have a battery, setup (s) on hand, in a pinch, - this is a good thing :) it's not a waste, it's you having a back up. - Money well spent is not throwing good money after bad, as you once did without question ( smoking). Keep up the progress, Never say " I quit" trying to quit " Smoking" ;)

Very good to read your story. And it is so true. When you are new and just looking to start vaping it is quite confusing. I am very happy to hear that you are successful in vaping and not smoking.

It is good that you are reading and learning and trying new devices to find the one that works for you. It can be expensive to purchase that first setup. Usually the first setup someone buys is not what they end up vaping with a few months down the road. It takes trial and error and time to find what combination of battery, topper and juices are going to work for you.

Keep reading and posting. You are already a success!
