Vaping while sick

I have a sore throat building and this is the first time I've gotten sick since I started vaping.

I used to smoke analogs while sick and other than the off taste it was usually didn't impact my smoking all that much. Right now the juice is stinging my throat a good bit. I only see it getting worse since I'm at the very start of my cold. Halo freedom and tribeca at 12mg are my daily but that might have to change.

Those who've vaped through a cold or flu what am I in for here?
Did you find it harder to vape through a cold than when you used to smoke?

When I got sick I found vaping to be a pretty crappy experience, much like when I was sick and smoked cigarettes.

Try some menthol juice...seems to work good for me when I'm sick.

I am getting over being sick right now and there was a period where I definitely vaped less because it hurt my throat. I had the same thing, sore throat, chest congestion, throat tickle. I even didn't vape for almost half a day! Yeah, it's almost the same as when I smoked, except it's easier to change things up to lessen the harshness. For example, I couldn't vape my Frisco 36mg on a LR atty because it was just too harsh. I had to stick with gingerbread cookies on a regular atty on a VV device because it was just much smoother. So, changing juice strength, device, atty, all affect the experience. Oh, and juice just doesn't taste as good, too.

The menthol recommendation really did help me. Some Vick's Vapor Rub and a carto full of menthol juice cleared my sinuses right up.

Menthol is the best thing I've found, sometimes I have to lower the voltage and/or nic level depending on how my throat feels but not usually. Menthol providing I don't go over the top when mixing it is a pretty mellow, soothing vape.

I have pneumonia right now and I did have three days of no vaping at all. If I was still smoking, I probably would have smoked. So I had two days of menthol, three days of no vaping, and two more days of menthol. I am now back to my regularly scheduled flavors

When I was sick, I stopped inhaling, holding the vapor in my mouth longer and exhaling through my nose (when my nose wasn't plugged).

When you are sick and can't taste a thing is a very good time to use up some of those so-so juices or ones you don't like so much.

Menthol is a great suggestion for opening up those sinuses!! (as long as your throat can handle it)

I was just sick recently as well, mostly agree with the group. Menthol does help a lot. Also I found that vaping didn't hurt my sore throat like smoking had. It was a nice change for me compared to what I had been use to.

Looks like im going to get my first try at vapeing sick. I have some watermelon menthol on hot standby. Boys have runny noses ill be next.

I actually do have some juice with menthol in it. So I'll give that a try if vaping gets too irritating.

I was also thinking that maybe I should get some 100vg juice since the one time I tried it, there was much less of a throat hit overall.
