The only juice I currently have is Johnson Creek, and it's just too light. I'm planning on ordering some Cash when it's available, but in the meantime, I was thinking about household liquids to try adding to the JC for added flavor and/or vapor.

I'm considering trying some extracts I have in the house, like vanilla and almond. Has anyone ever tried that? I think they're made with alcohol... is that bad?

No, alcohol is fine because it will only make up a small percentage of your total volume. I'm diluting e-liquid with a mix of 80% glycerin and 20% vodka, for example, and all is well. The things to watch out for in flavorings are any oils, as that is said to ruin an atomizer. And we've had some discussions about being worried about artificial colorings, but that's just a worry and nothing definite. Something like the Lorann flavorings we've discussed down in the DIY liquid section of the forum, is easy to find in stores if you want some variety in flavors. I've used my own vanilla and it's great, but it's homemade so I can't speak to what is in the commercial stuff. Mine is just split vanilla beans that have soaked in a bottle of vodka for a long time. I've been doing this for years for baking purposes, so I figured it would be great to add to e-liquid and it certainly is. Love the flavor and I was told by somebody that they could smell vanilla in my car, which is fine with me too!

Yes I have used Kate's formula and have make English Toffee, Bavarian Cream, and CheeseCake using LorAnn flavorings. They blow the commercial stuff away in hit and flavor. LorAnn is 3 to 4 times stronger then grocery store flavors and grocery store flavors simply are too weak as the VG takes over the flavor. As for Vanilla -- that is a tough one. I have bought the most powerful you can get by Cook's and the alcohol contained in it at 36% takes out the vanilla flavor. I am going to try Vanillin next, so I am still working on it.

In china or japan business men will "sniff" hard alcohol out of a bottle top. From what i understand you get really drunk really quick then it goes away in 15 mins. They are probably trying to take this to the next level. It would be kind of fun to just be drunk for 15 mins.

It would be fun. I wonder if it stings as bad as taking a shot. Probably gives a mean throat hit.

I actually heard somewhere (I think it was on the Ruyan website) that there is a product in development to atomize drinking alcohol. It is intended to be an alternative to traditional drinking! I wonder if our e-smoking gear is capable of that.

You don't need anything quite that complicated to try that out. I used to do this with an ordinary tobacco hookah -- just fill the reservoir with vodka instead of water. Quite an interesting feeling. :)

There are indeed alcohol vaporizers -- and they were made illegal in Florida almost the instant they came on the market. They give a user no warning when too much has been inhaled. Instant drunk! Dangerous beyond almost anything you can think of. They deserve a hard ban across the board.

The amount of alcohol we can vaporize in an e-cig won't affect you. It can give flavor (I've been using Kahlua liquor to thin down VG mixes). Nice odor, too.

I thought they were still in development . Has anyone died from using them?
