Well tonight I decided to take the plunge. Here's the plan. Dual Atties ran off of a RCA splitter that is jacked into my empty cd drive slot (panel mounted rca jack on the front of my pc), that is hard wired to a molex connector inside the case. This should give me dual atties running at 5v. Nice thing about the hard wiring to the power supply is that it should allow for multiple vapors to jack in at one time, considering the amperage it can provide.

I ordered 2 atties, 4 battery connectors, will be picking up a switch, project box, rca splitter, jacks and connectors when everything arrives.

Due credit to the PVMA for the RCA idea, it's stickied at the top of the page.

Origin of hard wiring to the power supply is mine as far as I know. Will post of pics of progression and completion feel free to copy :) . I'll also be modding a wall ac/dc adapter for the same usage but that will be later on. Still haven't found a 6v ac/dc adapter that can provide the oomph I need to power the atties, needs to be atleast 5 amps for the 6v. I wouldn't consider this a battery mod, but more of a power mod. I HATE batteries. I prefer permanent power sources especially when at home. batteries are fine for when on the go, but when Im at my pc or watching tv I dont mind being jacked in. Though when I get the mod for the ac/dc adapter done, I may take that too work :).

Oh yeah my soldering iron has been begging for a reason to get worked.

May all your wishes be granted. But you'll have to be patient as in at the end of this post for pics.

Well I went to work and got my RCA connectors and jacks, and project box. Though instead of jumping through all the hoops of having a switch box and then jumping to the rca splitter. I am going to make the split in the switch box. So I'm doing away with the splitter. I have the jacks mounted, but I haven't found a momentary switch that is hefty enough to carry the current needed for 2 atomizer's. We have a load of switches that can carry the current for one but not for two. Well there is one but it's almost as big as my project box. So I am going to be making a stop by the auto part stores to see if they have something suitable. I think I have a whole 30 bucks invested in everything with my employee discount including connectors and atomizer's hehe. So here is the pics of the box and a general idea of where this is going...

STUMPED.... Well I got my battery connectors and I am totally stumped on how to do the rca adaptation. So until I get past that I'm going to be putting this on hold I guess...

If anyone has any pointers on this, Im using the 510 connectors.

Check out my post in the PVMA sticky:

I used the RCA connector and cut the center section down to .39-.4" for the 901. For a 510 adapter you will have to make some measurements to the distance to cut the barrel to. You want the RCA connector to lightly touch or move the 510 battery connections center post. Once you have the barrel distance right and good continuity then dab some JB weld on the threads and on the battery connection insert portions and clamp it together. Thats it.
