Michigan, yearning for home
A friend sent me a few bottles (unicorn fart, honey peary, butter beer and hobbes blood) as a thank you for doing some work on one of his mods. Personally, they weren't for me, and I won't be ordering more. The butter beer was OK, but the rest were so overpoweringly sweet I just couldn't handle them. He ordered some for himself too, and while he likes sweet flavors, he didn't like any of them... so far between the 2 of us we're at about 1/8.

Pass.

The Vapor Chef is my go to juice. Pina Guavada is by far my favorite, followed by Hobbes Blood and Bloody Mango. Blue Jazzberry was pretty good. Wasn't a huge fan of Black Pompom and Unicorn Poop, not that they didn't taste good, just not my thing. Peppermint Patty and Schmecto Schmooler were my least favorite of my order.

Nutty caramel apple is the best tasting e liquid i've found... not too sweet/fruity, great nutty flavor. excellent vape and my favorite e liquid from vaporchef.
I've tried
hobbes blood - too sweet/fruity. slightly offputting taste
frosty blue jazzberry- pretty decent, doesnt taste like menthol but has a cool refreshing taste
slartibartfast- will never use again, no sweetness, bad flavor. worst tasting e liquid ive ever used
honey pearry- very sweet, bad aftertaste
southern hospitality- slightly sweet, pretty decent taste

I'm still really in love with The Vapor Chef's juices. Black Pompom is one of my ADV's, the slight bitterness of the black currants combined with the tart of the lemon and the sweetness of pomegranate are right up my alley. Bloody Mango is wonderful as well, I know I search for blood oranges every winter when they are in season.

PB Nomnoms I find ok, I love peanut butter but ever since I burnt myself out of Five Pawns "Grandmaster" I seem to have a hard time tasting PB flavors. I hope I don't have the same problem with Smuffer Shmutter.

The Peppermint Pattie is pretty accurate in taste but I wish it had a bit more chocolate flavor.

Honey Pearry and Hobbes Blood I'm still up in the air about. I've got one tank of each loaded up in the Kayfun Lite's on micro coils with organic cotton wicks. I'm trying to see if they'll grow on me. I read one review that said those who don't like HP and HB usually like Black Pompom and Bloody Orange so that might be the case with me as I really like the latter two.

Coolcumber Melon I still have steeping, I'm giving it a good two months because I read the review about it needing "a gigantic steep."

Overall great juices and how can you not laugh at juices named after "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" references as well as cartoon characters (Hobbes Blood, of Calvin & Hobbes).

I haven't tried them yet, but emailed them to ask if their juices require steeping and this is what they said:

"In short no. When the Chef makes a new flavor we test it while it's fresh then we steep it and it goes through another round of testing. If a flavor doesn't meet our standards in both forms it's re-worked or discarded. That being said there are many people who prefer certain flavors steeped. Some flavors change with steeping some don't. It all comes down to personal preference.

Thank You,

That's the important part right there. Personal preference.

Got my first batch of VC juices.

Apple Bourbon Tobacco - Primarily bourbon coming through, somewhat smokey aroma and aftertaste. Not getting much apple yet. Intense throat hit. Going to steep this one for a while.

Frosty Apple - Pretty good throat hit, mild flavor overall. May require a bit of steeping to smooth out and allow more of the flavor to come through.

Schmetco Schmooler - Great fresh, strong flavor, smooth and dead on Ecto Cooler flavor.

Still have Black Pompom to try yet. Black currants, lemon and pomegranate sound like a good combo and the aroma is very tasty.

Black Pompom is my favorite, vaping it right now actually, but it does have a tendency to be overwhelmed by a lot of foods you may be eating. I just finished some pizza about 1/2 hour ago and my tastebuds are still dulled to the Black Pompom taste. I'm not saying it is a weak flavor by any means but most foods tend to make it taste ... "off."

My close second flavor is Bloody Mango. It does not get covered up so easily by food.

I must be a serious noob. I tried several listed here. Love Hobbes' Blood. Got two with banana, I must just not like banana juices. I didn't know Black Pompom taste could be off by what you ate. Maybe that was the problem. I have a tendency to vape two or three things at a time. The Bloody Mango is exactly what they say it is.

They're all decent right off the back but they all (at least the ones I've tried) are better with some aging. The flavors become more "mature" they're less harsh and more mellowed, the full flavor is still there it just irritates your throat/mouth less. I've noticed increased/better flavor from all of the VC juices I've let age, I vaped them all right after I got them but everyday I vape them they taste a little better. A week or two of aging and you will be in vaping heaven, vaping them right off the back might be the stairs/ladder to vaping heaven. :D
