So where does that leave VaporFlask the company? It seems much more than a collaboration, to me. Maybe the whole company has been bought by VS? Or the rights to the VF product has been sold off and VaporFlask the company will be no more?

I mean VaporFlask the company is the Flask, that's all they have/did. They have nothing to give to VaporShark except everything - their curved metal mod design. Everything else inside a VF, VS already has. So I can't see how they could continue to exist if VS is now bringing out a 'VaporFlask'. Where would that leave for VaporFlask the company? There's a VS VaporFlask, and then VaporFlask themselves bring out another VaporFlask that's exactly the same except possibly fewer features?

At the very least it seems an incredibly poor decision for the brand. But it would not surprise me at all if VF the company ceases to exist soon.

Really interesting collaboration that seems very one-sided in Vapor Sharks favor. I'm good with that, I like Vapor Shark, but what is the benefit for Vapor Flask? It only seems to cannibalize their own market...strange.

Exactly

I don't have any knowledge of what's going on but I can envision scenarios where this makes a lot of sense.

Vaporflask has been very successful for a small outfit. It can be hard to grow past a certain size without sizeable infrastructure investments. Or they may be more interested in doing some new devices like the squonker. They may just be licensing their design for cash or they may be leveraging Vaporsharks contract manufacturing, marketing, legal, and customer service teams.

I expect new chips and devices to continue to appear and I hope both these companies to continue to play a part in making vaping better and more accessible to (ex-)smokers everywhere.

Maybe vs is just the exclusive distributor

I wouldn't think so with the VS tech like zip charging in it. I would think they partnered on it on a wholesale level. Probably going to use VS manufacturing to keep up with the volume since many have wanted an authentic flask but the price scared them off. Not saying it's not worth the money just prices out of manys budgets.

I think this is a win for everybody all around. I know what to put on my christmas list anyways:)

Pretty awesome for sure @ $189.00

The only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is the finish! Why the hell would they put the rubber finish on these things? Anodized FTW. My VS finish lasted about 2 days and was starting to chip and flake off.

Anyway, I really like it and may end up with one. We'll see...

My 8 month old VS rDNA. I use it mostly with a skin but not always. Only a small chip by the top battery door.

The DNA40 is still a great chip. Yes, it has glitches but none of the issues affect the vape which is better than any clone mod. At the current prices for the Vaporsharks, they're smokin' deals.

Not everyone is interested in firmware updates. These are vaping mods, not cell phones or computers. My 1st gen DNA40 works just as well as my 5th gens. It's an overhyped feature by enthusiasts.

I'll definitely get a DNA200 when it's available just to check it out if nothing else. I have no need for anything over 30w.

i think people are interested in it more because if you buy it and it doesnt work as intended, you can get the firmware updates instead of sending it back in and waiting for it to come back, much like the first batch of dna40's. It expedites the whole getting your mod fixed ordeal if things go bad. With Evolv boards, i'd say thats a mandatory by now, seeing as how their popularity took a dump with their whole screen glitch fiasco.

yes exacly, I know evolv will give good service and replace/update the board but then you have to wait for a long time to get it back, and for these 100$ VS they selling atm, all have glitches, even VS said it before selling, i dont need much higher than 30w myself, so i rather see that new board in a single/parallel mod.
