presumably the rubberised finish hides the fact that this is no longer hand-carved from a single pristine block of aviation grade aluminium (note correct spelling!) that hasnt been rolled on the thighs of cuban women etc etc, and is in fact something resembling that made, lets say, in the far east! This also is reflected in the $100 reduction in price! Although They might slap a five pawns logo on it and get it back to $300 in due course...lol!

ps. Actually I really like the look/sound of it!! Now if they only would deliver to anywhere outside the US....

I'm rather intrigued with this one -- good looks, nice display, love the bottom caps. NOW its $159 on VS's website. Very tempted but have to resist... Need to save money right now and can't go crazy on vape gear. Selling another mod for $70 this payday so I MIGHT be able to sneak in $40 to make up the difference on a different mod ;) Otherwise if I tried to blow $119 on something outright I'd probably get my .... in a ton of trouble...

I love my VS VF, they hit 159.99 after I ordered, but, I got refunded.

I like the changes to it over my American Made Vaporflask.

Gorilla Glass for the nice flush top look, the USB port is not all wobbily bobbles, the finish is miles ahead of what they have been using on the VS DNA line and the new battery caps!

Its made overseas... however, its still made wonderfully. I can't see any shortcuts that were made. I think simply, they were able to meet scale of economy... which allows them to lower prices nicely.

I think Charlie had a visit to make sure that the overseas factories were upholding the QC, because mine is flawless.

I'm in the process of putting a dna 200 in mine. :w00t: If I say so myself, this project is going very well. The extended screen ribbon is working great, the extension for the micro usb is working great, my cut in the chip sled is flawless. Isolating the case ground and modifying the 18650s is the hardest part but it's coming together. The screen ribbon was difficult, it required some micro soldering.

very cool! can't wait to see pics.... the dual 18650's get you 133 watts? if so that's plenty for me as I don't use drippers anymore and, never go over 45 watts with an RTA :)
