I have one too. They have a copper 510 connector which is quite soft and will wear out quickly if you don't take it easy on them. Taking it easy on them means you don't screw atties on too tight and you are careful not to cross thread them. Not changing atties too often will also help a lot :)

If mine ever wears out I will install a Fat Daddy 510 connector, but I know how to solder and do the mechanical work needed. If you can handle that it's the best way to go IMO. The FD 510 connector is a lot tougher and will last a lot longer than the original. If you have any doubts that you an replace it, don't try it. Safety is the most important thing here as always.

If I couldn't do that job and I liked the mod, I would buy another mod with the same features that has a better 510 connector.

By the sounds of it you got the Kangxin made unit, I have one too and the copper alloy 510 has worn out on mine after only a few months of use (abuse). The bad news is replacing the 510 is technically challenging, particularly on that unit as the 510 is press fitted.
I suggest that you read through the link posted above as it contains details of every single aspect of the short comings of these clones, and in most cases detailed info on how to remedy them.
