What am I doing wrong?

Every second day, when I change my coils, they are burnt black.

I use 1.8ohm coils at 12.5 Watts.

I vape up to 6-10ml juice each day.

I'm using the Black Note juices, which is a 50/50 mix, which is a heavy coil killer, cause the coils are clogged almost totally after 2 days.

It might have something to do with me burning the coils, but I don't think so, really. I wouldn't really know before I figure out why my coils are burnt.

The outside of the package says that they should be fired at 13 Watts.

I'm not sure if it's a setting on my DNA40, which somehow preheats the coils at higher wattage.

Anybody got any pointers as to what I can try?

Of course, I let the coils sit dipped in liquid before I start to use them.

Are you properly priming the heads before use?
Drip drops on the wicking material until fully saturated, letting them sit in a filled tank won't do it.
Authentic Aspire replacement heads verified via scratch off security code on packaging entered into the area on their site?
Have you tried using a lower power setting?
No need or reason to use 13w just because it says so, start off at a low power level & slowly increase taking a vape or three on each setting until you find what you like, if you get a hint of burnt taste turn it down.

Dark or colored or thick and especially sweet liquids tend to clog wicking material & gunk coils rapidly.
