you just need to learn how to save money -- tuck it under the mattress, a buck here, 20 there.

and if you're unable to save money with your budget, then you need to generate money. sell off a bunch of random things on craigslist, donate plasma, do odd-jobs, whatever. $200 or so isnt all that much.

Donating plasma:lol: that is hilarious! I can see it now... "this mod was bought with proceeds from my local Red Cross!"

I was thinking of putting the money I saved from buying real cigarettes in something and working with that cash. Maybe a way for me to save more money again instead of buying vape gear all the time and it's money I would of wasted anyway if I still smoked.
This is exactly what I do but with a bank and debit card, as you can see in my sig vvv it doesn't take long for that next purchase.:vapor:

hey when I was in Nursing Uni, it was $75 for platelets!

it's a Labor and maintenance issue for businesses too, I tried doing a layaway plan for my custom jewelry and more expensive items when I had my bead/jewelery store (when my girls were in college I had it so they had jobs and their friends and learned there's NOTHING like trying to earn a living at your hobby to SUCK the joy right out of it *lol*) but it was a pain, payments and pretty much it's ME the business person giving net 90 or more, and a loss in labor and funds.

save it in a cookie jar, or what you must with the payments THEN get it. I don't have any credit balances due and haven't since 2002 (cars included, I pay myself each month for the next one with what I save in insurance payments being more for a credit balance) :)

good luck :)

1. It is time to start budgeting when you have been vaping for six months or longer, and the cravings have, for the most part, gone away. You now know the difference between a craving and a want. This is your equilibrium point.

2. Once you have reached equilibrium, sell or PIF the excess. Become a verified member if you have a lot. All this is especially important if you are recovering from shinyitis.

3. Set your budget and stay with it. A dollar-a-day or less is what I have arrived at as reasonable. Always remember YMMV. Don't get caught up in cults of personality. A flavor-flitter and a person who prefers a few ADV's need different hardware.

4. Build wishlists and contemplate for at least a week before transferring to cart. By all means avoid impulse purchases.

5. Only buy sale items that are already on your wishlists. Restrain yourself from buying excessive quantities of any sale item-- remember that things change-- you may not need or want an item six months down the road.

6. When you buy from the slow boat (Fastech), wait until that order has arrived before you you order anything else.

7. Whenever possible, make your purchases once a month, at the time you pay bills. This will prevent losing track of how much you have spent. To cut postage costs, remember to tuck in whatever items you will need in the foreseeable future.

8. If you are planning a large purchase, wait until your vape fund accumulates that much money. On the dollar-a-day plan, you would wait 130 days before buying that Provari blem.

9. Make your own coils and DIY your own juices. If you wish, you can even build your own custom mod.

10. Items purchased as gifts do not count on the dollar-a-day plan. Neither do you need to count what you have purchased from proceeds of the sale of your excess.

11. Don't worry about nic base. When the FDA dust settles, there will be a huge grey market from doomsday stockpiles. Remember that YMMV, especially if you vape above 6mg.

12. Always have at least one backup of such items as batteries, chargers, mods, etc, to prevent budget-busting mid-month emergencies.

13. Research any contemplated purchase carefully and thoroughly. Read the reviews, and view any u-tube reviews available. If necessary, e-mail the vendor and ask questions.

Why don't vapor stores have a layaway plan for the us vapors! I would definitely use it ;)
You know, for items like ZNA's, Provari's and Other expensive mods and tanks!
Just a random thought........
What do you all think?

Given the cost of a pack of cigarettes I think thats ridiculous.

Even with the purchase of a Provari, several Phiniac tanks, juice and pre-punched cartos Ive saved enough by not smoking for two years to go on a VERY nice vacation....and to afford any mod out there.

You can see the saving yourself in my signature and its one of the reasons the vaping industry and this very forum has flourished over the years.

I can see what you are saying but.....
For us that do follow a strict budget and live off disability. It's about the only way unless I use a credit card. I don't want that type of fees!
I am talking 1 dream mod not for those who have 20 or more!
I know how to stick to what I can afford. But still dream ;)

Every week throw 20 bucks (or whatever) into your sock drawer. When you have enough, bingo! By then (say 10 weeks) it will have all changed. Well except Provape, they are on a glacial time period. You will then have enough to afford the whatever is the new thing.

When I renovated our upstairs bathroom I made an access hatch in the ceiling downstairs to get to the bathtub drain plumbing. I'm 6'4" and can just reach up, but most people need a ladder. That's my safe where I keep a few extra bucks around the house ;)

::::heads to Ryedan's house with a ladder:::: New MOD here I come! :D :p
