1. It is time to start budgeting when you have been vaping for six months or longer, and the cravings have, for the most part, gone away. You now know the difference between a craving and a want. This is your equilibrium point.
2. Once you have reached equilibrium, sell or PIF the excess. Become a verified member if you have a lot. All this is especially important if you are recovering from shinyitis.
3. Set your budget and stay with it. A dollar-a-day or less is what I have arrived at as reasonable. Always remember YMMV. Don't get caught up in cults of personality. A flavor-flitter and a person who prefers a few ADV's need different hardware.
4. Build wishlists and contemplate for at least a week before transferring to cart. By all means avoid impulse purchases.
5. Only buy sale items that are already on your wishlists. Restrain yourself from buying excessive quantities of any sale item-- remember that things change-- you may not need or want an item six months down the road.
6. When you buy from the slow boat (Fastech), wait until that order has arrived before you you order anything else.
7. Whenever possible, make your purchases once a month, at the time you pay bills. This will prevent losing track of how much you have spent. To cut postage costs, remember to tuck in whatever items you will need in the foreseeable future.
8. If you are planning a large purchase, wait until your vape fund accumulates that much money. On the dollar-a-day plan, you would wait 130 days before buying that Provari blem.
9. Make your own coils and DIY your own juices. If you wish, you can even build your own custom mod.
10. Items purchased as gifts do not count on the dollar-a-day plan. Neither do you need to count what you have purchased from proceeds of the sale of your excess.
11. Don't worry about nic base. When the FDA dust settles, there will be a huge grey market from doomsday stockpiles. Remember that YMMV, especially if you vape above 6mg.
12. Always have at least one backup of such items as batteries, chargers, mods, etc, to prevent budget-busting mid-month emergencies.
13. Research any contemplated purchase carefully and thoroughly. Read the reviews, and view any u-tube reviews available. If necessary, e-mail the vendor and ask questions.
