That's right. The title does not lie. My work passthrough has finally kicked the bucket.

I was just happily stealth vaping at work today when it happened. I took my carto off the PT to top it off, and when I put it back on, there was nothing. I figured I might have overtightened it on the previous top off, so I took the carto back off, and gently lifted the connector pin in the PT. I put the carto back on and it immediately started hissing & popping, which was unusual since it's an auto. A couple seconds later, the PT was completely dead.

The reason I'm posting this is because the passthrough was the first one I had ever gotten, and it's a sad occasion for me. I ordered and received it through V4L back in late 2009, so it's seen almost 2 years of constant use. It's so old that it was made before the reinforced cable connection was put into production.

I don't know what to do with it... What kind of burial does such a good friend like this even get?

None. It deserves to re-purposed. How?

Well, that's the part I haven't figured out yet - but wait - wasn't someone here asking about new ideas for a contest?

You're welcome, V4L! :2cool:

I'd say you got your $$$ worth out of that one Darri.

After a year I almost lost mine last week, filled a Carto, got distracted by a phone call, put it on my Auto PT, 2 minutes later the Carto was steaming. Both the Carto and the PT were burning hot and sizzling juice was spurting out of the Carto. I disconnected the PT from the USB port just in time....scary. The Carto juice was scorched, but the PT appears to be fine.

Perhaps you could bury it on hillside overlooking one of the many pristine alpine lakes that New Mexico is known for.
