I see this unit as a failProprietary atomizer, 10440 battery with 350mah capacity and sub par performance. looks nice though.
Thank you for the review ! look forward to the next one

I don't consider myself a newb (at least a fresh one), but still find it useful, on it's own merits. I like smallish devices, but the 10440s are better than typical KR8 or 510 setups. Those run from 2 to 3 hours.. You get maybe 3 1/2 here. The changable battery may or may not be more convenient. I don't think either method as negative or positive. The tank is arguably better than the 510/ego T tanks. And better than the cartomizers that come with KR8s.
I think just about all delivery systems are pretty much broken in one way or another, but the ego-C/ecab isn't that bad. You don't have to top it off like cartos, and you don't get the leakage as older tank systems. It lacks flavor compared to a clearo, but the only clearos in this size (like CE3s) require something awkward (and a little embarassing) like a bottom syringe fill method. It isn't practical enough. All you have to do is carry a bottle and squeeze here.
Performance I've found is iffy.. it depends on the juice. Some juices are really pissing me off enough to consider just moving on to another device. Some wick great. This is a problem with ego-C attys in general, I think. They can be too tightly wound.
I think it lacks flavour (and TH) compared to everything but most other tanks to be honest, but part of that might also be a function of vaping 12mg -- the difference may not be so noticeable at higher nic levels, at least with throat hit anyway.
Maybe you're right. I'll give you that. I vape between 16 and 24, but I doubt it's that different from what you experience. I think I just like the basic idea of tanks, regardless of the weaknesses. The one other tank system I need to try are those imists you reviewed. From what I can tell, it solves my complaint about wicks. To me, that's the biggest weak link. If it had faulty ones, at least they're easier and cheaper to replace on the imist.
I know I'm late to this party. NICE REVIEW Mindfield!
Wow. Interesting. I like the replaceable battery. I hope Joye continues experimenting with that concept.
You'd have to have the mAh suffer to get the smaller size, of course. That may appeal to many that want a less-bulky PV for ... style/form factor.
The flavor/atty thing...... if they just had a standard connector, maybe with a cone to keep it the same diameter...any issues could be solved so easily. What a shame they tried to lock people into some proprietary thing.
I'd rather see one of these with a standard connector and ... IDK... maybe as a stand-alone package. Then.... since I already have a charger for those batteries (and some batts too) and if I wouldn't need to buy the "special" atties... I'd be all set for say...$25.00ish for just the unit. That would almost rival the twist. Not vv, but a swappable battery that I could use a 2.0 ohm atty on.
Yep. The connector thing... spoils it IMO.

I agree i feel the connector was a big thumbs down with the Ecab and even with it i would like to have one and even have plans to order one soon. Then after a little searching i ran across this ,,, Joyetech Joye eCab Adaptor So my slight reluctance in placing an order for a Ecab kit has been pushed closer to being a for sure decision.
You sure called it on this Fix AttyPops. btw do you have any lotto numbers you would like to share, hahaha.
Take care and have a nice day,Rob.

Yes this is just what the ecab needed to put it right along with the other 510 connector device's. Would you please update this thread with the link of your vendor if in fact they do start carrying this adapter? I am in no hurry for an Ecab and would like to purchase the adapter at the same time as the device itself. Thanks and have a nice evening,,Rob.Hey, nice! I didn't realize Joyetech had released adapters. I'm going to have to see if the vendor that sent me the eCab plans to carry the adapters. I think that would make the unit a lot more marketable if there's a 510 adapter available for it.

lol. Probably a language barrier thing, I don't think they intended their phrasing to sound that confrontational.
Anyway, Lae vaporgeek.com tells me she'll be getting them next month, so I guess it won't be for a while yet.
After searching just about every vendor in the US and Canada i have yet to find the adapter i am looking for. But in doing so i have seen there are many many adapters on the market and was wondering if any of those will make the adaptation i need. Being from Ecab threading to 510 connection. It does not need to be the smooth cone shape as in the joyetech adapter but just something to use until the joyetech adapter is in stock?
It doesnt matter if i have to connect 2 or 3 together as long as i get to the final connection of 510.lol
Thanks,Rob.
That's the problem. It's a completely proprietary connection that doesn't conform to any current standards that we're aware of -- not an RNxxxx, 510, 801, 808, 901, or any of 'em. It would be possible to MacGyver something I'm sure, it's got the standard center-positive/thread (or body)-negative design, so you could hard-wire something if you're handy with that sort of thing. I just had a look, and a 510-510 shorty adapter makes proper center contact; a little solder bead to either side to connect it to the body would give it stability and make the negative connection, then you'd be set. I just held an 801 Fusion carto with a 510 adapter against the inner sidewall of the eCab with the center making contact and it does fire, so you can definitely rig something up if you're desperate.
