I purchased the Project Sub-Ohm 150W on 11/06/2015 from VaporDNA and on the first use I noticed a .7 V difference in the discharge rate and notified on 11-15 of the problem. I told them that I had several series boxes and this was the only one that I had this issue with to date. After telling me it was normal and some back and forth they asked me to test like this:
Charge the batteries to full charge.
- Install the batteries and use to a half charge.
- Remove batteries and mark battery A into one slot and B into the
next slot on the charger and note the voltage levels of both
batteries..
- Again, charge the batteries to full charge.
- Now put battery B where it battery A was and battery A in where B
was in the device.
- Use until half charge, proceed to remove, and place on the charger
again to determine the voltage levels of the batteries.
I did exactly as that requested and took it one step further doing the same test with my Renegade X following their directions. On the 24th I let them know that the problem still was occurring and that I took the test further and did it with another series mod. I told them I would just like to exchange it for a working device.
On Dec 11th I let them know that I had not received a response. As of today I am receiving radio silence.
Tonight I went to charge the batteries and one was at 3.56 and the other 4.12. Damn shame since I like the form factor of the device.
Edit and update:
After posting this I sent a polite but pointed e-mail to VaporDNA letting them know I was disappointed and that I would look elsewhere for my equipment. They replied and apologized for not responding and will exchange/replace the bad unit. I received tracking information this morning.
It's appreciated since I really liked the unit, I didn't request anything more than a working device. The device is nice, it's thin and has a good shape, fits nicely in the hand.
