    Hello and welcome back friends for today's review of the full size mod kit called the Armour Max from vaporesso. The Armour Max mod is a dual 21700 device and comes with 2 18650 battery adapters. The Max is the big brother of the single battery device from vaporesso called the Armour S that I reviewed as well, I'll leave a link to my review if you haven't checked it out already - VAPORESSO ARMOUR S KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322. The Armour Max does not have a IP rating but I can assure you it's a solid mod capable of some abuse, even the tank in this kit has a removable protective cage around the 8ml glass tank. Lets get to know the Armour Max Kit with some information from the manufacturer Vaporesso first and then I'll give you all my findings good or bad , lets get started.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    Starting off with packaging that consist of a slide out box from a outer sleeve, a large cardboard envelope with all the paper info inside rest on top of the device, tank, 2nd coil, spare 8ml bubble glass, spares bag of one O-ring and charging cable neatly tucked in their own spot.

    First thing that I liked was the device is pretty much a exact duplicate of the smaller single battery Armour S except for the screen being horizontal vs the vertical screen of the Armour S.

    This is a heavy very solidly built device that even though it has no IP rating would be right at home on a construction jobsite, heck it even looks like a tool that belongs there including the tank as well.

    Speaking of the tank the iTank 2 boast a 8ml capacity and comes with it's own protection by way of a cage that can be removed if you wish to do so but I like the appearance with in on. You will have no problem viewing the juice because of the cut out slots on the cage, 3 on each side.

    There is adjustable airflow by way of dual airflow slots that when opened up fully produce a very airy but extremely smooth DL vape, closed down almost completely gives you a nice smooth RDL vape.

    The iTank 2 uses the performance proven GTi coils that really pop with flavor and are one of my favorite drop in coils. Installing them is a easy PNP type with no flat spots to line up.

    The iTank 2 has top fill and uses a spring loaded push button opening top cap that swings open like a switchblade, once open there is a single fill port that has a silicone membrane covering it, I really like this type of cover on fill ports making for a mess free fill up with the resealable membrane.

    On some tanks with this type of opening a large 100ml bottle wont fit because of clearance issues but there are no issues with the iTank 2 as you can see it easily fits 100ml bottles for fill ups.

    Turning the attention to the mod I can tell you that it fits a 28mm atomizer without any overhang, I like that the 510 connection is centered on the device giving it a nice clean appearance.

    On the back of the device is the bottom battery spring loaded release button that has worked great with no issues of opening on accident and it has not been babied by any means.

    Vaporesso puts a protective cover across the back of the device. The device is mainly for use with 21700 batteries but they include 2 battery adapters that are shipped inside the 2 battery tubes for use with 18650 batteries. Polarity symbols are marked on the battery door, none inside the tubes.

    Unlike some devices like this that use a hardened rubber material the Armour Max uses a very hard plastic with diagonal cuts across both in front, back and sides that aid in gripping. The front and rear are really only for cosmetic reasons but the sides really help hold on to this behemoth. I have to say that hand feel and fitment is great for my hands even though they are on the large side.

    Just like the Armour S the Armour Max uses a locking mechanism in the fire button that Vaporesso calls the uni-lock, the fire button sides to lock or unlock the entire device and it works very well with a flick of the thumb. Positioned down is unlocked and up is locked ( SIMPLE AND EASY ).

    My only real con of the device is the size of the display screen or shall I say fonts, the wattage or temp fonts and power modes and battery bars are large and can be easily read but the font size of the ohms and puff counter are small, they should have made them all the same size in my opinion.

    I do like that even the display screen is protected because it's recessed into the device. Even though I wish the fonts were more uniformed in size I am happy with the bright and vivid display.

    Having multiple power modes is something you don't see that often these days so that's a big plus for this mod. I only vape in wattage mode but there are still folks that use TC and the Armour Max has them covered, in fact there are 6 power modes to choose from. There is a menu in this mod as well and it's very easy to navigate through. Press the fire button 3 times quickly to enter the menu.

    POWER MODES

    * Wattage - F(t) - Type of curve ( I Love It )

    * Pulse Mode

    * Eco Mode - ( Battery Saving Mode )

    * TC - ( NI - TI - SS )

    MENU

    * Settings - Smart Mode On/Off

    * Adjustment Button Lock/Unlock - Press And Hold Both Adjustment Buttons Simultaneously

    * TCR Lock

    * Puff Counter Reset

    * Theme Colors - ( Blue - Green - Orange )

    * Brightness Control

    * Smart Wattage On/Off Shortcut - Press And Hold Fire And Down Button Simultaneously

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    First off let me show you the difference in size between the Armour Max and Armour S, I wanted you to see just how much larger the Max really is.

    20240519_123556.jpg

    Alright my final impressions on the Armour Max Kit are it's a great kit not a good kit, the iTank 2 is a great performer putting out massive clouds with great flavor to go along with that. The airflow should suit everyone's vaping style except the MTL crowd, it's not designed for that.

    As far as the mod goes I personally like it a great deal and have been using it for about 2 weeks as my daily driver on my work truck and could not be happier. It has been to many construction jobsites and taken a few spills without issue.

    The GTi coils are some of the best out there for intense flavor as well as the clouds mentioned earlier. This is a large mod and it has some weight to it also so it might not be a device for out and about, with a jacket it works fine but in a pair jeans a back pocket is only the real option.

    There is a belt pouch holder that can be purchased that will solve those issues. On a desk it's perfect. I mentioned the font size as a con but really after you set it to the power mode and watts/temp you intend on using you should not have to worry about looking at the fonts.

    Overall I give the Armour Max Kit a 100% recommendation if you can get past it's large frame size
    I would like to thank Sourcemore for providing this kit for the purpose of my review and if you do plan on purchasing it from Sourcemore use CODE VAMK for a discounted price of $53.69. I would also like to thank all of you that read my reviews.

    THANK YOU
