Thank you so much for the extensive information. This is just what I needed to hear. I prefer MTL vaping. I use 50\50 mix. I basically follow your priming procedure except that I take a few drags without firing. Then start taking small hits at 5 watts and slowly work my way up to 11.5 watts.
I have zero experience with building coils however you have sparked an interest in me on learning. I believe a 1 ohm coil could be MTL.
I quickly found this video on Innokin's Website about building
I wander if you can use the blue coil blocker on one side then flip it around once that coil's life is over, essentially providing two 1 ohm coils with the same coil?
I guess another option is to find another tank with 1.2, 1.5 or 1.8 ohm dual coils. I do love my Kanger Evod Mega with the Dual 1.2 ohm coils. The taste on the CCELL-GD is better but not worth the cost.
Again thanks for the response triggering some ideas.

No problem, glad to help. Yea even 0.5ohm is good for mtl if you adjust the airflow on the tank. I used to be mtl, and used 0.5ohm no problems. The blue block is if you are doing single coil only. It will block off that airflow hole, so you get better taste.
If you are using a dual coil build, you would remove it. Usually it's best to replace both coils/wicks at the same time so you get consistent taste.
To get 1ohm in dual coil, you would need to make two coils at 2ohm each. In a dual coil setup, your ohm's are cut in half when using two coils. For example If you wanted 0.5ohm's you would make two 1ohm coils, and in the end you would hit that 0.5ohm mark.
I find you get better taste with dual coils, but you loose a tad bit more battery life, and you go through a little more juice. I think it's worth it.
The five packs of axiom replacement coils are 0.5ohm for like $8-9 bucks
Innokin AXIOM Tank Replacement Coil - 5 pack | Replacement Coils | VaporBeast. A five pack should last you 10 weeks for $9 bucks. Below is what they look like inside. I vape these at 14.7W, and love em.
Same prime process, except these you have the inside wick/coils to prime as well. I saturate these, and (dab) the cotton on wick holes with my unicorn bottle tip lightly, so the juice penetrates better and faster.
I usually do half a mil of juice on each hole. If you put too much juice on the coils/wick inside, you will get a little leak out the air flow holes, but it won't last that long. Just keep wiping it until it goes away.
Make sure when you replace the coils that you make them hand tight. I take a rag for better grip, and screw the new coil in until it stops.
You don't want it loose, or you will lose a tank of juice from leaking real quick. If you can't get it out when replacing the coil, you can use some pliers. Don't try to use pliers around the coil they will slip, use them inside on the lip.
If you want to build, I would suggest getting a build kit like the GeekVape master kit V2
521 Master Kit V2 | GeekVape, or the Coilmaster V3
Coil Master DIY Kit V3 - Coil Master. I prefer the Geekvape because the 521 tab mini gives you the ability to recharge the 18650 battery via usb, and with the coilmaster 521 tab mini, you would need to buy a charger for the 18650.

I would also recommend doing spaced coils because they give you a way better taste then contact coils will.

I wouldn't go with any clapton coils any anything fancy for the axiom tank. Just plan ole SS or Kanthal. I use 26g
I get my wire from these guys
Lightning Vapes - All the RBA supplies you need, shipped same day! and the taste is amazing. They are very affordable.
As far as cotton, Rayon is what a lot of people are using, but it's tricky to get used to.
Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!
Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2
You might try some of the cotton bacon they sell at lightning vapes for $5 bucks a pack. It's also great stuff.
Just take your time, and make sure you watch a lot of coil building videos on youtube, and you will be good to go. It will save you a lot of cash in the end, plus it's super fun to build you own stuff. I even DIY my e-juice.
Hope this helps, and if you have any other questions just halla!
