Vaporesso revenger x cant access menu

Hi my revenger x intermittently miss fires and also i cant access the menu or change wattage. I quick press the fire button 3 times then press up/down or menu button but doesnt work.
5 fire button press turns it on and off fine so im at a loss. Any one have same problem?

Does the lock icon go away when you quick press the fire button 3 times?

Have you updated the firmware?
