That is exactly what I've experienced with flavor as well. I can taste the flavor but it's not 'full'. It's definitely not no flavor at all, it's just not as good flavor as the GT Coils.

Everything about this tank is done really well, Vaporesso just need to find a way to design those coil heads to be as flavorful as their GT Coils and then this tank will be that much better and an excellent addition to their starter kits.

This tank is pretty leak resistant and I haven't managed to get it to leak at all. Whenever you device to change coils or clean the tank, remove the coil and wipe up the base. I find that little juice/condensation does collect here.

Try out the GT coils and let us know if you have the same positive experience as I did.
GT Mesh will definitely be my next coil change. The tank is really the NRG on steroids. 8ml is great. Need a red one now, assuming it performs well for me with the GT Mesh.

I got to the end of the 4th tank, pulled the coil and removed the gold pin. It may be press fit as I originally thought but its a serious press fit if it is. Used a pair of EMT shears and cut the pin off.

I noticed an improvement in flavor with my first puff but the coil is way too airy (see pic of GT Core vs QF Meshed) with out the pin. I am going to order a box of the QF meshed, cut the pins off all 3 new coils and try them with my other ADVs to see how the cotton/flax blends works with other juices. I don't see this as my new plan going forward since the coil is so airy.

I have a GT Core Mesh primed and loaded will spend tomorrow vaping it. If I am as successful as @OhmzRaw with the GT Core I will add the Skrr and Luxe to my ADV rotation. I have a red Luxe kit, 2nd black Skrr and another red Skrr in my cart at Element Vape waiting on the results of the GT Core Mesh test.

Weights with 2 - 18650 batteries
Revenger X 7.4 oz
Luxe 9.9 oz
Aegis Legend 10.4 oz

My problem with cutting the air director out of the coil is that we shouldn't have to operate on a coil prior to use. Since everyone agrees that the flavor produced from the QF coil is somewhat lacking, I'm going to assume that Vaporesso is already working on a fix.
Vaporesso is probably working on a fix. I have seen that they already removed the SK CCell from their product line so I'm assuming they are aware of the problem and are working on solutions.

I feel the same way but wanted to see what the impact of the cotton and flax combo would be on taste. Would never make a career out of coil surgery. Besides I'm sure I paying for the gold pins that I throw away.

Vaporesso seems to be responsive to user suggestions, hopefully they are working on a fix. Would hate to have an 8ml tank and not be able to enjoy it.

As I pointed out in my review: "flax fiber is extracted from the flax plant. It is stronger than cotton fiber, but less elastic. It is typically used in the high-quality paper industry for the use of tea bags, printed banknotes, rolling paper for cigarettes/tobacco etc."

I'm not 100% sure if flax is better than 'normal' cotton in terms of flavor. I guess this is because I don't think I've tried a flax paper coil head before and since this QF coil did have 'muting', I may have not gotten the proper experience from this wicking material.

I think you will be in a good position to make a conclusive decision on whether or not it's not good by doing your test. I'm looking forward to reading up your results as I have never read up a lot about flax paper coil heads.
