Welcome to the ECF!! +1 for why... Juices can be delicious.

This from Roly-

However, a percentage of people cannot drop cigarettes even with the best possible support: that is, the best equipment, a full range of liquids, and good mentoring. Nobody knows what this percentage is - estimates range from 10% to 50% or more. This group of people will still smoke the occasional cigarette even when using 36mg liquid on a 5 volt device. They may also revert to smoking cigarettes under stress.

For these people, nicotine + all the other replacement factors an e-cig can provide is not enough - something else is missing.

Many of these people seem to be able to successfully stop the use of cigarettes if they combine electronic cigarette use with Snus. This suggests that some other ingredient of tobacco is needed that is not supplied by an e-cigarette - in other words, nicotine alone is not sufficient. Providing a dual-product solution like this anecdotally raises the success rate to about 80%.

I've been using snus for 3+ years... it's what got me off of cigarettes! I've begun vaping out of curiosity. I'm using zero and/or 6mg ejuices. When I vape I don't use snus; however, I still need the snus to get the nic I crave. Additionally, I don't think the nic in ejuices is as effective as snus... I think that snus provides the full spectrum of tobacco alkaloids... ejuice does not.

What is snus? Haha hey buddy..

I'm getting my ecig stuff from an SO member in a day or two and I'm excited as hell. It was you that got me interested! I'll be vaping the same way I use snuff.. as soon as i put my snus in I'll take a few puffs or a pinch or both! lol

I pulverized a cigar and soaked it for a few days in PG/VG, maybe 50 ml of it. Filtered the cigar out of the liquid and let the liquid steep for two weeks. The stuff doesn't taste like anything, but boy it has a kick! I guess there is very little nicotine in it, so the kick comes from something else, I assume the WTA's and MAOI's.

I've actually tried this, after watching that video. I am not sure if it actually worked or if it was a placebo, but in the end I found it was way more convenient and cleaner to just use snus the way it's usually used.

You can try it with a cartomizer also, just take out the polyfill, push aside the air tube and stuff a portion in there. I don't think anything larger than a mini will fit. Then drip in vg or e-liquid on top of the snus "polyfill" and let it soak. (it always leaked through though, so either snus makes a poor polyfill or this thing is better done with cartridges.) I got vapor and I felt like it was working, but again, discontinued the experiment because I was getting vg all over the place and that stuff is a mess. I used a typical 808 cig-style device/carto and General Mini Mint portions.

I've been vaping for 2 weeks now and have hit a bit of an impasse where I feel I'm not getting something I used to get from tobacco.

Snus is illlegal in my country, so i don't really have the option of using it, for vaping or for its intended use. However, I was interested in his "little cigar" vaping technique at Spend Less On Your Tobacco Habit Iii (video 4).

What he's doing does look a bit messy, it's got to leak, or worse. I'm interested in it though.
