I don't know if this exact subject is covered but I'm curious as to what exact gases and chemicals are created and released when plain sugar (like store bought sugar crystals) is dissolved into pure water and then that compound is vaporized at around 200 degrees Celsius. Just curious because I'm looking at making an e liquid sweeter by adding a water and sugar solution.

I would think the sugar would crystallize and burn around the coils.

This is exactly what will happen.

That is why e-liquid suppliers use ethyl maltol, sucralose, stevia and other flavorings like bavarian cream and french vanilla to sweeten.

You can also buy sweetener from TPA Perfumers Apprentice - Sweetener

@ The OP, I suggest doing a LOT more research on the subject before attempting to mix your own juices.

Well I have a particular flavor I wanna play with. I don't like many artificial sweeteners because the aftertaste. I know sugar will crystallize and it separates from certain solutions over time. Not really the problem however because it will be manually added at the vapor point of the liquid I'm playing with. What I am concerned with is the gasses and chemicals that are released and created at the vapor point. I have plenty of liquid sweeteners I can use the question was specifically about sugar though. But thank you for the replies.

I cannot tolerate artificial sweetners. Horrible aftertaste for a long time. I use Liquid Stevia from GNC. works great.
