Purple metallic sounds awfully awsome!!
I have friends that are waiting for your purple to order!!
You already have your name on one! I'm just waiting to get the powder coat to make sure it looks good and holds up!

so...I have to tell this story, cause I think it's so very awsome...my daughter has a friend downstairs who lives with his grandfather. I had the old man try my KR808 Monday night with a 555 flavored cartomizer. His face LIT UP, and he said "hey, that could work" he told me he's been smoking 50 years, and was so excited about the prospect of using an ecig to quit, he had his grandson get online right then and there to order himself a kit! I was out walking my dog today, and the old man stopped me and said he hadn't had a cigarette, or wanted one since 10am yesterday when he got his kit...and thanked me for getting him vaping. How exciting is that?

Not sure if anyone has said this already (too many missed pages and posts), but I talked to Sir last night about the "misfire" of the switch, and I think I may have an answer. If you've not tried it yet, Noalox the be-jesus out of the threads of the CAP, then twist the cap on several times without the batt in to work the Noalox into the threads, then put the batt in and tighten the cap.

Here's what I think my problem was (and maybe others). Once the cap is "tight", try and tighten it further (give it a good twist, the Noalox will prevent the threads from seizing), but don't twist so hard you strip the threads. I tried this, and the cap actually tightened a good 1/8 of a turn more. So far, I'm not having anymore "misfire" from the switch, and the mod functions as it should :)

I'll check in a bit and update.

Hi Blaze...
I got back a mod that was having this problem from someone, and when I put my 510 on it, it fired like a race horse. I still think it is just certain types of 510 atty's that the problem exists with. I'm still waiting for the vendors in China to respond back to me. I didn't have to tighten anything harder than usual, and my atty worked fine. I'm going to a different connector now, so this should take care of any future problems.

Mine's currently working as it should with the first atty I told you I tried. I've always thought that the "one size fits all" thing with attys and connectors was bull (I've had 510 attys fit one connector and wiggle ALOT on another). I dunno, maybe (hopefully :)) it was just "user error"...

Edit: I'm vapin' this thing like a chimney, still going strong :)

Also, what I'm going to do is to allow the batteries to have more contact with the spring by another 1/4". This will really take up any slack the batteries may have had. See, on boom's Saber and the other I got back, the user said it worked great with 901's and 801's, but was not working well with the 510 they had tried. But, with my 510's it worked great.

Also something to consider:

I'm not sure how hard it would be to do (but I know it can be done), but custom made connectors that have tapered threads may be something to consider trying. But again, I've not ever tried to do this on any of my home made mods, so I have no idea how hard this would be to accomplish.

I was considering that on the next mod I create... having it built into the style. The main problem with that is the same problem... It may not be universal still!
