Guys, I'm really pushing it.....
I will stand by my word on getting your Saber Touch finished and in your hands by the holidays....
But you need to order by tomorrow night so I can start it by Sunday.
Takes a few day alone for the epoxy curing....
Thank you all so much, and I hope that you give the gift of vaping to someone you love...

I have a silly question. I purchased a SaberTouch on the Classifieds board. I'm really enjoying it but only have one problem -- apparently I'm one of those people who have dry hands so using it at times is a bit of a problem. My question is whether or not the switch in this unit can be updated to the newer switch? I usually end up licking my thumb to get it to work and that isn't always the most sanitary of options, if you know what I mean. LOL

Sorry if this question has been asked before. I didn't read through all 581 pages of posts.

Thank you.

Would be awesome, but I don't see how that would complete the circuit. The switch is the break, that is where the loop is completed.

Might be something to that though. :)

It works my friend, it really does. I've tried it on both the mini and the VariVolt version:)

I'm not saying it wouldn't, but the problem stated was that the switch wasn't working without having to lick a thumb. If the switch was working perfectly, then sure. It would be the same as touching the bottom cap. But that isn't the case here.

Apparently the original SaberTouch switch works best for people who have moist hands. Damp hands being better to complete the circuit. My hands apparently tend to be dryer which is why I'm having to dampen my thumb to complete the circuit. I really don't think the switch is faulty, it's more than likely the fact that my hands tend to be dryer than average.

VaporMoon has updated the switches on the SaberTouch that "work with the slightest touch of the finger" so I was thinking that maybe it might work better for me where I do have dryer hands. Over all I do like the SaberTouch and thought that this might be a workable solution for me.

I would definitely consider using a metal drip tip except for the fact that I use an eGo Tank system. I also use the Giantomizer. Neither method that I use will allow for the use of a metal drip tip.

Now that is odd, with the way the ST is designed the metal drip tip should make it fire every time. !?

But, for odd ... I got you beat!

My brand new VV HP ST (which is a Beauty!) arrived freakin' Haunted ... it auto-fires - as in - all by itself! I don't even have to touch it!!

I've already talked to Lawrence and we both think the chip is probably defective (have pretty much eliminated Batts & Atty's as possible culprits). It works perfectly till the chip warms up (we're talking normal usage here) then goes bizarro on me.

I'm gonna send it back in (as soon as the holiday madness dies down) and he's going to take care of it!

:)

Once it's fixed (he may have to start over) then I'll dig out the camera and post some pics.

It's Black Ice Heavy Texture, w/ Original Detailed End Caps (Powder Coated to match ) & Full Turned Lines.

The caps pretty much blend into the body (but add detail) and overall what you see is a textured black tube flared on both ends - with the turned lines being the main visual feature.

It's a stunning design.

:2cool:

I basically wanted the features and look of a sword hilt, with a good firm grip. I pm'ed Lawrence several times explaining what I was after - and he not only got it, he nailed it!
