Check Out This New Finish For
The Saber Touch
From Vapor Moon!

Knurledweblarge.jpg

This Is A Knurled Finish...
I tried going real heavy to give a true Diamond finish,
But it looked more like a tool handle. So I eased up and
Got this great feeling swirling finish.

If you tell me what you think, and there is a good response,
I may offer this finish on my site.
If you want this finish prior to introducing it on the web,
email me at SirLawrence@VaporMoon.com
And you can special order it.

All opinions are welcome.

Pardon the Bad Pic!

That new finish is so nice. Do you think it would look good with a clear coat top? Or would that diminish the small details of the knurling?

Even if the clear coat, or a Candy color (transparent powder) would fill in the fine detailing, you would still be able to see all of the details. And it would be easier to keep clean!

Well, I've decided to put a place in my shop to do my own plating. I'm not going to rely on other companies for anything anymore. That was the ONLY part that I jobbed out, and they put me in a bind, and started to triple my costs.
It will take about 2 weeks to get everything all set up and ready to go. But that will not hold up orders since I just got my caps back from that company. Orders will start going out this weeks again. If you order had been delayed, thank you for your understanding.

Well guys...
After machining about 30 bodies... I've come to the conclusion that each one will be slightly different. Which can be a good thing! Each of these Sabers will be a One Of A Kind!
See, using a computer controlled lathe, I can reproduce each one exactly the same, but I can't take the knurling all the way to the treading for the caps. The machine can't get that close to the ends.
But using my manual machine lathe, I can't go all the way to the ends, but the tension has to be set by hand. Which means, each one will be slightly different.
So, When I put it back onto my site, I will make it clear that the Knurling is unique to each Saber. Close, but never exactly the same!

This isn't the Knurled One...
Ran out of time today to powder that one.

But, woke up in the middle of the night and Machined this one
With 1/16" Lines in it. Then Polished it too death!
Sorry the pics aren't great, but it is super shiny with Nickle Caps.

Now, you might ask... Where is the Black Button?
Well like I told the one ECF member, I make all of the buttons here in my shop.
And I can use just about anything other than metal!
So, I made the button with the same material I shot the Pic on!

It's a Little Different!

I hope to get that Knurled one Powdered tomorrow some time, if I can find more hours in a day!
