Well my thoughts are racing, I'm thinking maybe we could add some blue to that red, maybe we could kick it up a notch, and you know what I don't have 5V regulated yet, and maybe my wife might not take away my iPad before I start ordering.......
The only problem with the Knurling...
It has to be done before anything. Then it would be really hard to mask off sections to do multiple colors... the powder would kinda go under the masking since it's not perfectly flat. I don't think I would be able to get really crisp lines between the colors. I could do that if I made turnings a little wider where the 2 colors met, showing the aluminum to separate the colors.

Maybe blue knurled with red caps and some cool racing stripes to add the silver? Am I getting crazy?? BTW I got my iPad back. lol

It would work if I made, say 1/4" lines to separate the colors. Then add the Nickle Plated caps to match the silver.
Picturing it, loving it, wanting it. Trying to convince my wife I don't have to wait until my birthday....we'll see!
Convincing her to get both options we discussed.....priceless!
One thing I know for sure, we will definately be knurling and coloring a saber soon!!!

I think the ghost is cool. How bright is the glow on the powder? I've always been curious.
It's a pretty good glow... It's the same powder that Disney uses on their rides!
