VaporNine battery acting strangely

I purchased a VaporNine starter kit that came with 2 batteries. One has worked just fine since I got it. The other worked fine in the beginning but is now acting strangely. Whenever I use it it seems to flash whether I'm drawing or not. It makes the vaping noise in sync with the flashing. Sometimes I can get a little vapor out of it but not always and it seems to get hot pretty fast which worries me.

As far as I know I haven't gotten any juice leaking into the battery. I've followed the same charging routine as the other battery, etc. Is it possible I just fried the battery some how or that I received a bad battery? Any suggestions of what I could try to get it working or should I just contact the company and have it replaced?

Sounds like you got a bad battery; I started with a V9 express kit, bought an 808 'monster' battery, then an Apex (510) battery (got an Inferno, the Apex is my backup) all have worked great for me, and they're still going strong-gave the monster to my wife to supplement her crappy SmokeTip gear.
