Hi folks... I have been using premium cartos from another vendor, but I am getting tired of orders getting messed up and shipping not coming on time...
I use a wetbox, and the I need cartos that have the larger hole on the battery side. For example, the V4L premium cartos have a larger holes (standard) than the cool carts..
Do the VaporNine Turbo's have the larger or smaller holes ?

Ben, did Missy show you using your Turbo cartos? The batt end hole on those is the same size as the coo carts. She may have started outfitting the KR8 WetBoxes with a smaller needle feeder but I don't know.

Game, there is a way to get around that small hole issue but you have to be sorta gentle. If you take an ice pick or something similar, you can gently ream the hole a bit bigger. Just don't get too forceful or you will break the wires loose that are attached to the batt connector (the part the hole is in). I have a KR8 WetBox too and this has worked for me...altho I retired mine when I got my Chuck. Hope that helps. Or try asking Bruce over on his CoV thread...if nothing else he can give you Missy's email addy so you can talk to her.

I can tell you that you will not be disappointed in Ben's Turbos, they are way better than the ones you are having issues with...IMHO :)

The Turbo cartos have a small hole and do not work well on the Wetbox (very hard draw). Some of the V4Life Premiums have the larger hole and work great and some have the smaller hole like the Turbos. Only the ones w/the larger holes work well w/the Wetbox.

That being said...the Turbos are great on a Defender or KR batt.

Mike, the premiums seem to get too hot for me, that's why I gently enlarged the holes on the Turbos. The metal is pretty soft so doesn't take much to make them a little bigger. I just used a quilting needle , inserted the tip in the hole and wiggled it around. OK, it's very late...that just didn't sound right did it LOL

i tried to drill the hole bigger and destroyed the carto. will try the quilting needle so i can use these on my wetbox. thanks

Mike, it doesn't have to be a quilting needle exactly...just a sharp point that gets fatter like an ice pick. Even a paneling nail would probably work :) I just happen to have sewing stuff and picked a needle out of my stuff.

Drilling...now there's a man for ya!!! Tim the Toolguy Taylor? LOL

yup, the 24v drill I used spun the center cap and destroyed the carto. Will try a nail.

LOL...don't use a hammer :) Treat it tenderly my dear!

You just want to widen the hole a teeny bit. That's why I said just insert the sharp tip of your choice of weapon and wiggle it around a bit. If you are not gentle you'll break loose the soldered wire to the atty...that's the reason it's not recommended to turn the center cap even tho technically it has a flathead slot. I do but at my own risk, because I have a PV that the batt connector sits too low in. I have to pry the center cap up a bit to make them connect. Tried to get the vendor to replace it (the PV was still under warranty) but that's a story for another time and thread :)

Ben, thanks for letting us sidetrack your forum space...you are NOT the side stepping vendor my funky PV came from!! Your Turbos have helped me to keep using my Elegant in spite of it's defect :)

I found an easy solution for all my 510 cartos and equipment. I use a 510 -510 adapter. Otherwise known as an ego adapter. The Turbos are the best carto I ever bought and are now all I use. I have traded all my 808 cartos for these and I have a nice stash now. (Just in case they change them) :)

The best contest I ever won was the one that led me to the Turbos. Thanks.

I do the same on my 510 PT and Chuck. I use a 510 to 808 adapter. Don't know if the adapters are all created equal but the one I have you can adjust the draw by using a screwdriver and turning the top in either direction.

I just ordered one of the blemished Buzz's and on those you can change out the top cap. I ordered a 510 cap and an 808 one. Looking forward to getting it and trying the variable voltage with Ben's Turbos :)
