Hi....my name is Nathan and I'm an addict......

I am just 4-5 months into vaping and can't believe the stuff I'm hoarding lol. For instance, I have 31 bottles of juice on order right now 15ml plus sizes and I don't want to try and list equip. So to the vetrans out there I ask.....how to you slow down and reach that happy content place lol? I am not complaining because every mod or upgrade makes the hobby that much more enjoyable or easier. And the juice collection, that my friends so lovingly refer to as the "holy e-smoke batman" collection is just stock for an unsure future with whatever evil the FDA may bring to our hobby. My wife and I both thoroughly enjoy our vaping and have been analog free for over 2 weeks now with no sign of returning to the ol' coffin nails which says alot since I smoked for 25+ yrs and she smoked for 17+. I just hope to settle into it a bit more I guess but as it sits now I am researching the equipment for DIY and looking at that route which will be another sizable investment. I am already "hiding" invoices and hoping the wife never adds it all up until we are closer to a break even point. Any advice from those who have been there and done that is greatly appreciated, Thanks all:blink:

I honestly don't look at it as hoarding, maybe more of a hobby. There are allot of us out there that love to collect vape gear and juice. Once I find a mod that I really like I tend to get 2 of them. So yes I have 2 provaris, 2 helixs, 2 BAMs, ok 4 Silver bullets. I wouldn't worry too much you'll find what you like, it is just a experimental stage right now.

Step away from the computer........

Ok, what I do is I created a spread sheet. Tracked all my spending on ecig hardware and juice. Figure what I spent per week on cigs. I keeps me in check and helps because I see my savings and THAT is cool. I'm in the black by a few hundred and have just purchased my second Provari and I'm STILL in the black. I have enough juice that would take me through the summer in my vape station.

A spreadsheet is a very helpful tool. :)

My goal is to have at least one of everything. Not really. Im not into the super expensive high end mods like some are. I wouldn't even want to use a mod that cost 300+ dollars. It would just sit there. If I buy a Bugatti, you can bet your .... I am going to drive it..
My family seems to think what I have accumulated is overkill, yet why is it that I still "Want", for all the latest and greatest gear that I can find.

yes, vaporing just a very cool hobby and sometimes its extreme (on spending $green$ on them)
im myself dont want to break my bank to get this hobby move fast to high end..
what i mean is,manage your money wise on this, its not a waste for me..
calculate your daily spends on analog for last few years, since im no more smoker so i spend those on ecig..buy juices, accessories, PVs..its not break my bank.
imagine how much u saved if vaping is not your hobby but your daily dose, u saved a lot..

Welcome Nathan! I think most of us have your same problem. I don't think I'm a hoarder. I just like variety especially when it comes to my juice. I've done a lot of shopping lately & that's mainly because I've found a delivery method & device that I love! I think eventually ill come out on top. I'm not going to sweat it though. If its in your budget go for it!

I have this same thing going on. Just this morning I took a quick inventory and decided that, yeah, I'm good for a while. Nevertheless, I spent nearly $100 on gear and juice... today!

Like Robino1 mentioned, I keep track of it all, just not on a spreadsheet. If I stop now I might break even by mid-June. As dangergirl mentioned, though, it's still an experimental phase. I'm trying not to sweat it too much. I justify it by reminding myself that not only am I not buying cigarettes, I'm also protecting my health by not buying them.

Now the problem is deciding what I want to vape and what to vape it from... so I rotate a lot.
