When all of my little friends were listening to The Monkees, I was into these guys...
I bought the LP when it 1st came out, but my copy was in Mono... I was only 12 and didn't have a Stereo record player yet... LOL!!

Zappa lived in one of our neighboring towns, as did the guys from The Turtles, who later joined Zappa as 'Flo & Eddie' (Mark Volman was 'Flo' - aka: the Phlorescent Leech, and Howard Kaylan was 'Eddie'), because their record co. wouldn't let them use their real names!!


It wasn't until many years later that I found out Zappa had actually appeared on an episode of the Monkees' TV Show... LMAO!!

An incredible musician, who left us way too soon... also appeared on the Monkees' show just a couple of weeks after Zappa. You can see him sitting on the trashed car in the background...

This song wasn't released on an LP until a few years later, but this version is still the best... IMHO​

More from Zappa and friends... (who could forget Keith Moon as the 'Hot Nun'??) this movie was rated 'R' and I went to see it with a girlfriend and her B/F, who was lot older than us, so he filled the part of our "Parent or Guardian" to get in the theater... LOL!!
If I remember correctly, it was on a double bill with Zachariah, which I had already seen.
