My dad took a regular bike and made it into a banana seat bike, painted it a sparkly purple, just for me. :)

There have been a lot of versions recorded of this song, and I was trying to decide which one to post... so I decided to go with the original one, which has been synced with Cher's animated video... :D

"One Tin Soldier" is a 1960s era anti-war song written by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter. Canadian pop group The Original Caste first recorded the song in 1969 for both the TA label and its parent Bell label. The track went to number 6 on the RPM Magazine charts and hit the number 1 position on CHUM-AM, in Toronto and reached number 34 on the American pop charts in early 1970.

In 1971, the song was a hit in the U.S. for Coven, whose recording was featured in the film Billy Jack. The single went to number 26 on the Billboard pop chart. A re-recorded version by Coven made the Billboard chart in 1973, peaking at number 79.

The original ones were called "Sting-Rays"... and a kid down the street had one with the forks extended like a Chopper, with a 'sissy' bar on the back of the seat, and really high handlebars, too!!

I borrowed it one day to go Uptown to meet some friends, and just about killed myself making a sharp turn... LOL!!

It looked something like this, only not as fancy... ;)
