I got to see him 2X... once with The Experience, and again with Band of Gypsys!!

How many of you folks saw the early Genesis on the Midnight Special??
(How many of you even remember The Midnight Special?? LOL)

They played 2 songs, which took up nearly 1/2 the show... very unusual for the show to do something like that, especially for a band without a Hit Song.

I was lucky enough to see them in concert during this same time, too... ​

Me too!!!

We had the Monterey Pop Festival up North from here in 1967, but I was a little too young to go... although I did manage to go to the Palm Springs Pop Festival in 1969... LOL!! (no Hendrix, but still a lot of good bands)


(I'll bet that Joan and I are pretty close to the same age... )

I remember Midnight Special.....I also remember a concert series called "In Concert" and "Don Kirschners Rock Concert"
Remember ELP did "Pictures at an Exhibition" on the show (In Concert) in its entirety (if I remember correctly).....been looking for it but to no avail
