This was filmed on our island one summer. The house belonged to some close friends of ours at the time. Mel Gibson was very nice, ate at all the local restaurants, visited all of our shops, and made friends with the islanders.

When."The Jazz Singer".was released as a feature-length movie in 1927, it was the first movie that included dialogue and music on the filmstrip itself.
