Because no one cares about the bottom screen. I'm happy with my evolv beta until someone manufactures something better. I'm thinking maybe lipos that are similar to camcorder batteries. Just slide it in and vape, no plus at all. Of course, this will require a custom battery to be built but it will happen. Plus, there's a lot of potential for dual 18650 dna200 mods in the future.

I think more people are talking about this in the DNA 200 thread and the "DNA 200 Devices /w Pics"

I personally pre-ordered. I don't care that much about the screen being on the bottom... because usually once my .... is set, I don't need to worry about it. Besides, I also have the VT200 on order too, probably just sell which one I dont like as much.

I for one, am excited. I like the form factor and the battery capacity doesn't really concern me. LiPo tends to be better about the capacity than IMR or Li Ion 18650s... Plus if the zip charging works, I don't see me having issues using it all day.

If I decide I don't like it... It will be based purely off the bottom screen.

I didn't mind them on my other VS mods, but, with this being so customizable... It might be more bothersome. Having the screen on top as with my VS VF... Kinda spoils you.

I just put in my preorder today. I called Customer Service to ask questions, here's what I got for those that may had wondered:
Size is 1/2 in thinner than RDNA 40, and 1/2 in wider and taller.
Battery is changeable with the magnetic faceplate. The charging is passthrough. The new software is NOT Mac compatible, they are working on that. they will sell the battery replacements within the next couple weeks, cost will be $20. He was also saying the battery should last all day, MaH with this type of battery is different than MaH on an 18650. I personally like the finish on this, the rubberized should be a lot more durable than the SX Mini which I will be replacing with this. NOW.....
The wait begins.

Anyone know the dimensions of the VS 200 say vs the Hana and the Opus 200? Also, do all of them require 5-button clicks to turn back on after sleep? I saw a video for the Hana which was like that, assumed it was part of the chip design.

The DNA200 should fire instantly from sleep as soon as you push the button, so no 5 clicks (unless locked) required, though if it sits long enough it will display the boot screen/custom screens when it wakes up, but it fires with zero delay (based on my 200's behavior).

So maybe I read that wrong. Will everything 22mm hang over the sides? 1/2 in is a lot to take off thickness wise.

Considering the original RDNA 40 is only .95" thick i HIGHLY doubt its 1/2" thinner than that, unless they turned the chip sideways (which would create a multitude of headaches, i assume it's forward facing), you couldn't even fit the chip inside the case.

Though looking at the render pics, its does appear to be thinner.

I could see 1-2mm thinner maybe. Since they got rid of induction charging, that would be where they made up for it.

Of course that must have been a pre production in that photo, because the back is now the removable piece.

Doesn't even ship till the 24th, so they are not even in stock. Going by VS's history with shipping on time or having the correct stock good luck to those that ordered.

Well there are quite a few DNA 200 production devices not shipping till that date.

However, I do hope they have been producing them to stack me deep to ship on the 24th.

Charlie from VF has had the VF SX in production for months now, waiting for their target release date.

And I mean that doubly so, as plenty of people had their CC stolen from ordering from VS last month. Quite a gamble no matter how you look at it.

Happens. Happens in big retail stores too.

One reason why I never use a bank/debit/checking visa online, in general getting a bank to recoup your losses is harder than a quality CC company to free you of fraudulent charges.

AMEX and Chase have been great to work with in the past. AMEX just asks if you bought it... Cancels the card number and wipes the charges off your account in one day. I never ordered anything online with my AMEX before, so it was stolen from some place locally.
